I've always been a sucker for culture and the vibe of the past, and as a Gen Zer, I'm loving the resurgence of old-school style. It's not just about nostalgia, though – I genuinely appreciate the unique aesthetic and the way it makes me feel.
I recently bought a film camera, and I'm excited to share my experience with the W&O CCD Digital Camera Q3. This little camera has a lot of character, and I'm eager to dive into its features and see how it stacks up.
GENERAL INFO
📷 Made in China – a fact that doesn't really impact my experience, but I thought I'd mention it. The W&O CCD Digital Camera Q3 is a product of Chinese manufacturing, but that doesn't affect how it performs.
📷 CMOS sensor – a key component that helps with image quality, I'm told. The camera's CMOS sensor is a crucial part of what makes it capable of taking decent photos.
📷 Screen diagonal - 2.8" – a decent size for a camera of this type. The 2.8-inch screen is big enough to be useful, but not so big that it's unwieldy.
📷 Screen resolution - 1080*720 – not the highest resolution, but it gets the job done. While it's not the sharpest screen out there, it's still perfectly fine for a camera of this price range.
📷 Memory - microSD support – a handy feature for storing all your photos and videos. I appreciate that the camera supports microSD cards, making it easy to expand its storage capacity.
📷 Main camera - 64MP – a respectable megapixel count for a camera in this price range. With 64 megapixels, the camera is capable of taking some pretty impressive photos.
📷 Where to buy? - Wildberries/Ozon – your options for purchasing this camera. If you're interested in buying the W&O CCD Digital Camera Q3, you can find it on Wildberries or Ozon.
📷 Price - around 1900 rubles – a pretty affordable price point for a camera like this. At around 1900 rubles, the camera is a great value for the price.
Now that we've got the general info out of the way, let's dive into the camera itself and its packaging.
📷 PACKAGING
The packaging is pretty straightforward – it's a rectangular box, similar to what you'd find with a smartphone. The front features the camera itself, its name, and model, while the sides showcase some of the available color options. The back of the box isn't really relevant, so let's move on to the unboxing.

📷 CAMERA
So, after we opened the box, we see a pink wonder. Yeah, I chose pink because I've been loving this color lately and I wanted a glamorous vibe. The camera itself is pretty compact, and the design is quite sleek.
The camera itself is what we pull out of the box and see what's waiting underneath. First thing that catches my eye is the grey pouch for easier storage.
When you remove the plastic holder, you can see the additional accessories that come with the camera. The package includes a Type-C charger, a microSD card reader, a 32GB TF card, an OTG adapter, and a carrying clip.
The camera body is made of sturdy plastic that doesn't add any weight, making it feel almost weightless in your hands. The package comes with an instruction manual, but I have to admit that I didn't need it – the camera is pretty easy to use, and you can figure it out without the manual.
Time to fire it up and see what's inside. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to turn on – just hold the power button for a couple of seconds, and you're good to go. I also loved the little animation that plays when you first turn it on – it's a nice touch.
Once it's on, you're taken straight to the main menu, which has eight functions: photo mode, video mode, games, music playback, built-in filters, wallpaper changer, gallery, and settings.
Now, let's take a closer look at each function.
Photo Mode. When you turn it on, it immediately prompts you to enable photo mode, so you click on it and get started. In this section, you're presented with three functions – timer, flash, and series of photos. You can turn them on or off using the buttons located to the right.Video Mode. The video mode is just as straightforward as the photo mode. You just click the camera button, and it starts recording video – but be warned, the audio quality is pretty poor, akin to a walkie-talkie.Games. Honestly, I'm not sure why the devs included this, but the idea's cool. Inside, you'll find three games - and my favorite's Snake.Music. As I understand it, you can upload music to the camera - but you'll need to do it via the memory card, which goes into the adapter.Effects. They didn't do anything super cool or original here - just various effects like on old phones. But what caught my eye was the ability to take four photos at once thanks to the collage feature.Wallpapers. Unfortunately, you can't add your own wallpapers, but there's a variety of lock screen backgrounds to choose from. So, pick one that suits your mood. Gallery. I agree, the gallery is a bit awkwardly placed and took me a while to find it. Oh well, it's not a professional camera after all. Settings. I have to say, the settings are pretty straightforward. You can change the resolution, video speed, wallpaper, and so on. It's all pretty basic, but it gets the job done.Photos
I've got to say, I bought this camera specifically for taking photos that are, well, not great. The quality isn't amazing, but it doesn't need to be. Once I started using it to take pics of myself, friends, and my partner, I was hooked. I love carrying it with me everywhere I go.

Check out the photos I took with it below.
How do I transfer photos?
I was able to transfer my photos easily by simply removing the memory card from my camera and inserting it into the adapter – a flash drive. Next, I plugged in my laptop and connected the flash drive. Everything opened up without any issues, and transferring my photos was a breeze.
📷 The Verdict
I'm happy to recommend this camera for purchase - it's surprisingly practical and does a great job of capturing the atmosphere of old photos, just like the ones in my parents' album. If you're looking to get a taste of the past, this is the camera for you.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you've enjoyed this review!
