IBOX iCON LaserVision WiFi Signature Dual Dash Cam

This dash cam is a solid choice for anyone looking for a feature-packed device. With WiFi connectivity, you can easily transfer footage to your phone or tablet, and the dual lens design gives you a wider field of view. The laser vision display makes it a breeze to navigate through menus and settings. I've been using it for a while now, and I'm impressed with the value for money. The build quality is top-notch, and the ease of use is a big plus. It's a great option if you want a dash cam that's both feature-rich and easy to use.

check_circlePros

  • It warns me about cameras with a clear voice alert, so I can adjust my route accordingly.
  • It's super easy to set up, even with the settings being in Russian - the instructions are pretty straightforward.
  • The sound quality is great, and the built-in speaker is loud enough to hear the warnings clearly.
  • It's got different modes for different situations, like Smart mode, which automatically switches between highway and city modes.
  • The range is impressive, detecting cameras up to 3-4 kilometers away in some cases.
  • It's saved me from some nasty fines on long road trips, and that's priceless.

cancelCons

  • The interface could be a bit more user-friendly, especially for non-Russian speakers.
  • It's a bit pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for.
  • The battery life could be better, especially if you're using it for extended periods.
  • It's a bit bulky, so it's not the most convenient thing to carry around.
  • The false alarm rate is a bit high, especially on the highway.
  • It's not the most durable thing, so you'll need to be careful not to scratch it.

Editor's Summary

I'll admit, I wasn't exactly stoked when I got this combo as a birthday gift. But after using it for a while, I've gotta say it's been a real eye-opener. The radar on this thing is seriously impressive - it picks up any camera on the road, no matter what kind it is. It's caught some false alarms, but the range is insane, sometimes detecting cameras up to 3-4 kilometers away. It's been a wild ride, let me tell you.

I'll admit, I wasn't exactly stoked when I got this combo as a birthday gift. I mean, I wouldn't have splurged on it myself, but thanks to the giver, I'm glad they did.

The radar on this thing is seriously impressive. It picks up any camera on the road, no matter what kind it is - Amata, poliskan, coridor, platon, auto-dorries, even auto-uragans. It's like it has a sixth sense for detecting them before they even come into view. There's different modes for different situations - Smart, Megapolis, Quiet City, City, Highway, Turbo. I've found Smart mode to be the most useful, as it automatically switches between highway and city modes. It's caught some false alarms on the highway, but the range is insane - sometimes it detects cameras up to 3-4 kilometers away! In the city, it's usually accurate to within 1-1.5 kilometers.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but the instructions and settings are all in Russian, so it was a breeze to set it up. The built-in battery is a nice touch, and it never loses its GPS signal. It automatically sets the date and time every time it connects to the satellites. The GPS module is solid, as I've never lost my signal once.

It also has a speedometer, which is a nice feature - it always shows your current speed on the screen.

I haven't had a need to watch the footage on a big screen, as it's always clear and crisp on the device's display. The colors are bright and vibrant, and it even performs better in low light conditions than my own eyes do. It doesn't get blinded by headlights, either.

What really stands out about this device, though, is its value for money. For the price, you're getting top-notch quality and functionality. It's been working flawlessly without any issues or glitches.

One thing to consider is that you can connect a second rear camera for parking, but that's an extra purchase. I haven't needed it yet, but when my wife gets her license, we might think about it.
