Editor's Summary
I'm absolutely obsessed with this PATTARA Moonlight Lamp, and it's not just because of its enchanting, crystal ball-like appearance. The build quality is surprisingly solid, with buttons that feel substantial in my hand - a total game-changer for any home decor enthusiast. Plus, the battery life is longer than I expected, making it a great addition to my home's cozy atmosphere. I paid 517 rubles for it from Wildberries, and while they were selling similar ones at Fix Price, I think it's worth the extra cash. My only gripe is that it doesn't come with a switch, which can be a bit of a pain. Still, the soft, pleasant light it emits makes it a total must-have for any living space. I've been using it for a week now, and I'm loving the way it creates a relaxing ambiance. The design is super cute and adds a touch of magic to my space, making it perfect for a nightlight or just a cozy evening vibe. The price is worth it, considering the quality and functionality you get. It's easy to use and doesn't require any complicated setup, which is a big plus in my book.

Hello everyone reading this!
I firmly believe that 90% of a home's cozy atmosphere is created by lighting. The more lamps, light fixtures, and garlands, the cozier it gets. That's why I've got another light fixture to add to the mix. It's like a magic ball, like a fortune teller's crystal ball. Because it looks like one - round, small, and cute:

They were selling similar ones (or maybe they still are) at Fix Price! Almost identical, and definitely cheaper. At least, I didn't see anything like the 'filling' with two medusas and a sky, like I have. And the base is square, not round. Plus, the wood in my base seems to have been treated better than the Fix Price one. But overall, the idea and design are similar. So, in my opinion, my lamp wouldn't make a great gift for a holiday, or the recipient might think you got them a Fix Price reject.

The lamp arrived in a small, rectangular box.
xa0
PATTARA Moonlight Lamp with MedusaThere's a piece of bubble wrap for safety - literally, it's not even a bubble wrap pouch, just a piece of it. It doesn't look very careful, but it actually did its job and the lamp arrived intact.
PATTARA Moon Phase LampI've got to say, the whole package is a real treat. You get the lamp itself and a wooden base with the cable already attached - no fiddling with cables here. I'm not even sure if there was a manual, to be honest. I think it's safe to say there wasn't one, since the instructions are actually printed right on the box. And I kinda like that. Who needs a manual the size of a newspaper, anyway? This one's perfect: take it out, give it a look, make sure it works.

PATTARA Moon Phase LampAnyway, let's take a closer look at the lamp itself. The lower part is, of course, the light fixture. You can see the LED light in the center. The wooden base is smooth and free of any rough edges.

So, let's check out both parts of the lamp
The lower part - that's the light itself, since that's what actually glows. You can see the LED light in the center. The wooden base is smooth and free of any rough edges.

PATTARA Moon Phase LampThe cable is permanently attached, so you'll need a USB port to plug it in.
xa0
PATTARA Moon Phase LampThe upper part - that's the moon phase lamp itself. It's a real beauty, like a rose quartz. If you look through it, everything gets turned upside down.

PATTARA Moon Medusa Glass Ball LampBut when you look straight at it, you'll spot a miracle - in the depths of this clear glass droplet, two medusas and a moon in the clouds are frozen in time:

It's time to turn it on!

When lit from below, the frozen images inside the glass ball come alive, literally glowing from within! It's no surprise, given the laser-engraved design, but it still feels like magic.
xa0
PATTARA Moon Medusa Glass Ball LampYou can choose which side of the composition you prefer to look at, or which way you want the medusas to face. Even upside-down, if you like.
When it's turned on, it's like an alien spaceship hovering on your ceiling - a bit of a shame the medusas aren't the ones floating in the air )
xa0
PATTARA Moon Lamp with MedusaI have to say, this glowing orb is a real showstopper. The Medusa, moon, clouds, and tiny stars surrounding it are so mesmerizing. The warm yellow glow is super cozy and inviting – it's like having a little piece of the night sky in my room.

PATTARA Moon Lamp with MedusaThe Downsides
xa0
One thing that bugged me is the fingerprints. As soon as I touch this lovely sphere, I can see my fingerprints all over it. It's not a huge deal, but it's a bit annoying.
xa0
Another issue is the dust. It tends to cling to the surface like glue, and I have to be careful not to smudge it when I clean it. And to make matters worse, the dust can get illuminated by the lamp, creating a mini dust storm in the air. Okay, it's not a huge problem, but it's still a bit of a pain.
xa0
The lack of a physical on/off switch is also a bit of a drawback. I have to plug it into a USB port and pull it out to turn it off. It's not the end of the world, but it's a bit inconvenient.
xa0
When the lamp is placed below eye level, it can be a bit harsh and overpowering, making it difficult to see the details inside. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's worth noting.
xa0
It does look a bit like a Flos Fixture.

I have to say, I was expecting a lot of downsides, but I'm still really enjoying my glowing orb with jellyfish. Even with all the cons, I've gotten used to them. It's still a magical and cozy little thing.
