Hey there, fellow home cooks!
I'm obsessed with my new digital kitchen scales, and I just have to share my experience with you.
I've used all sorts of scales over the years, from pharmacy scales in college to your run-of-the-mill kitchen scales.
But let me tell you, these electronic scales are in a league of their own.
As long as they're accurate, that is.
Accuracy is crucial when you're working with tiny amounts of ingredients, down to the milligram.
We even used electronic scales in college, and they came in handy when we needed to weigh out tiny amounts of a substance.
At home, they're a total game-changer and an absolute must-have!
I'm putting these scales to the test with an apothecary balance - a set of weights that weigh exactly what they say they do, down to the milligram.
My grandma, a pharmacist, passed them down to me, and I trust them 100%.
These weights are something I trust 100%, and we used them when weighing out ingredients on regular scales with cups.
When I researched these scales online, I came across some sketchy info on YouTube that said they can measure weights as low as 2 milligrams!
Complete nonsense and utter rubbish - don't believe it.
I almost fell for it.
The scales only measure weights from 2 grams and up - if you need to weigh something smaller, they won't help you, unfortunately.
According to the manual that came with the scales, they can measure weights from 2 to 5000 grams.
The RED solution RS-M723 kitchen scales are perfect for those looking for a high-tech and functional device for weighing ingredients on the kitchen counter.
With a design that's straight out of a sci-fi movie, the device is a unique addition to any kitchen decor.
The tare function allows for easy measurement of ingredients without accounting for the weight of the container.
The measurement range is up to 5 kg with a precision of 1 g.
I've found that these digital kitchen scales allow me to get an exact weight reading for my ingredients and products.
Plus, they're not just limited to cooking - I've used them for my hobbies too, like making soap, to weigh out the components.
The interface is super intuitive, thanks to the LCD display that shows you the weight, low battery alert, tare weight, stable unit position, zero reset, and unit selection.
You can easily switch between units using the UNIT button, and the TARE/ON/OFF button lets you zero out the weight (account for the container), turn it on or off.
With these features, you can quickly and easily weigh out any product.
The RED RS-M723 kitchen scales are a reliable and user-friendly tool that's become an essential part of my cooking routine.
They're made from stainless steel and built to last.
The RED RS-M723 kitchen scales come with a 12-month warranty for added peace of mind.
You can find these scales at various online stores like Ozon, Wild Berries, MVideo, and Yandex Market, and they usually cost around 1000 rubles.
I received them for free as a gift from the company after I purchased a blender.
And here's what the scales looked like when I opened the box)
Here's the info on the back:
Inside the box, I found the scales, instruction manual, and everything was nicely packed:
And here's what the scales look like.
These metal accents give the whole thing a seriously stylish look
The battery compartment in the back requires a pair of these
The instruction manual is included:
I decided to conduct an experiment to test the accuracy of these scales, especially for this review.
Exclusive for you!
I mentioned earlier that these weights are extremely accurate.
So, we can be confident that the scales aren't lying to us.
So, I started with a tiny weight, unaware that the scales only measure from 2 grams:
Unfortunately, the scales don't show 1 gram - that's a bummer.
I don't get why they only start at 2 grams...
And even 2 grams wasn't shown...
I was surprised to see 3 grams showing up, but it was actually reading like 2.
So, there's a small margin of error, just keep that in mind.
Here's 4 grams sitting there, but the scale is still showing 3...
Overall, on smaller measurements, these scales can get a bit mixed up.
Okay, got it.
But the bigger weights are a different story:
Even here, though, there are some errors:
But overall, it's not bad, I guess it'll do)
If 1 gram isn't a deal-breaker for you, like it was for me in that pharmacy debacle - you can use these scales with confidence.
For measuring out ingredients for baking, or whatever dishes you're into...
Using these scales is incredibly easy
First, you press the button on the right, then you place the container.
Pressing the tare button twice resets the weight, zeros out the tare weight, and now I can fill it with whatever I need
There you go, it's that quick, easy, and pretty accurate
I'm happy with the scales, I didn't need to measure anything to 1 gram precision yet, this level of accuracy is enough for me
However, if you need scales that show weights below 1 gram and are super precise, showing milligrams too, you might want to look for something more serious
It's a great, reliable kitchen gadget that makes life a lot easier
I'm deducting a star because the scales start counting from 2 grams. I think that's weird. And those 2 grams, they didn't even see them...
I highly recommend!
