A Year with the iPhone 13: Still Loving It
Hello everyone! So, I've been using the iPhone 13 for a year now, and I've got to say, it's still one of my favorite phones. I know, I know, I used to be an Android user, but I made the switch to iPhone, and I haven't looked back.
I was using a Realme phone at the time, and it was fine, but the camera was a major letdown. I mean, Android cameras just aren't the same as iPhones, and I was missing out on some great features. Plus, after I sold my trusty Nikon D5100, I realized just how much I needed a good camera on my phone.
But then, disaster struck - I dropped my phone and shattered the screen. I had it repaired, but it was never the same. That's when I started thinking about upgrading to a new phone. I spent hours scouring websites and forums, but I just couldn't make up my mind. That's when my coworker showed up with a brand-new iPhone 13, and she just raved about it. I started to think maybe it was time to join the iPhone party. But the price was a major turn-off. After weighing the pros and cons, I decided to treat myself to a new iPhone for my birthday - and I went with the 13 model. It was a bit more affordable than the 14 or 15, but still a significant investment.
I ordered it from Yandex Market, and I've got to say, the shipping was super fast. I mean, I got my phone in like two days, and it was well-packaged, too.

When I first got my iPhone, I was a bit overwhelmed by all the features. I mean, it's a lot to take in, but once I got the hang of it, I was hooked. The first thing I did was set up Face ID, and I'm so glad I did. It's way more secure than my old password, and it's just so much easier to use.
The phone itself is gorgeous, and I love the Starlight color. It's so sleek and modern, and it feels great in my hand. Plus, the build quality is top-notch - it's made with durable materials, and it's built to last.
The power button is cleverly placed on the right side of the phone, and I love how easy it is to use. The volume buttons are on the left side, and the silent mode switch is a nice touch.
The dual camera lenses are a game-changer, and I love how easy it is to take great photos. The front-facing camera is amazing, and I love how it picks up all the details. Plus, the video quality is seriously impressive - it's stabilized, crisp, and smooth.
I've also got to give credit to the iPhone for its speed. It's lightning-fast, and it barely slows down. I've had some weird issues with the camera lately, though - it just kicks me out of the app when I try to take a photo. I'm not sure what's going on with that.
One thing that's still not great is the 5GB storage in iCloud. You've got to pay for extra storage, which is a bummer. But there are alternatives like Yandex Disk and Mail's cloud storage.
I'm a big fan of FaceTime on the iPhone, too. It's a game-changer for video calls, and I love how easy it is to use. We're always video calling with my girlfriend using this phone - it's super convenient.
The battery life is amazing, too. I'm charging my battery once a day, and it's never completely draining. One thing I don't like about iPhones is that the battery wears out over time. I've had mine for almost a year now, and it's still at 98%. Eventually, you'll need to replace it, but it's better to just get a new phone.
My only gripes are:
Lack of a power adapter in the box;No SD card slot;No Apple Pay option; The price.I'm not planning to change my phone anytime soon - it's meeting all my needs. Even with the 128GB internal storage, I haven't filled it up yet. I had the same amount on my old Android device, and I didn't even come close to filling it up after four years of use.
PS. There's been some buzz about Apple potentially banning iPhone sales in Russia due to import restrictions. But I'm hoping it's just a rumor, and there's no need to worry just yet.
So, my final rating is 10/10. I think the iPhone is one of the best smartphones out there right now.
Thanks for reading.
Overall, I'm really impressed with the iPhone 13. It's been a year since I got it, and I'm still loving it. The camera is amazing, the speed is lightning-fast, and the battery life is incredible. Sure, there are some minor issues, but they're not deal-breakers. If you're in the market for a new phone, I'd definitely recommend checking out the iPhone 13.
One thing I wish Apple would consider is including a power adapter in the box. It's a small thing, but it would be nice to have that extra convenience. And maybe they could throw in some extra storage in iCloud, too. But overall, I'm really happy with my purchase, and I don't regret it for a second.
So, if you're looking for a reliable, high-quality smartphone, look no further than the iPhone 13. It's a great choice, and I'm sure you'll love it just as much as I do.
