IBOX Pro 700 GPS Radar Detector

This thing is a beast - I mean it's a top-notch GPS radar detector that's crazy easy to use. The design is sleek, and let me tell you, the build quality is top-notch, making it an absolute value for money. It's got GPS, so you get super accurate speed tracking and alerts. Plus, it's got laser detection and a super intuitive interface - what more could you ask for? With its impressive features and solid construction, this radar detector is a must-have for any driver looking to stay safe on the road. I've used it for a while now, and I'm consistently impressed with its performance.

Hands Down, the Best Radar Detector for Your Buck

summarizeEditor's Summary

This radar detector is a total game changer. It's got some seriously impressive features, like its ability to download software updates directly from the manufacturer's site. The manual is actually a treasure trove of useful info, including how to tweak the False alert filter to minimize unnecessary alerts. But what really sets this thing apart is its Smart mode, which automatically switches to highway mode when you're cruising above 60 mph. It's a total steal, especially considering the price.

I wrote this review as a response to a previous one, and I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences with the Ibox Pro 700 GPS radar detector.
The BoxThe manual on the official site is a treasure trove of useful information, including how to download software updates. I highly recommend checking it out.
The PackageThe Smart mode is a total game changer - it automatically switches to highway mode when you're cruising above 60 mph. I found that tweaking the false alert filter from 3 to 6 really helps minimize unnecessary alerts and avoids getting caught by speed cameras.
The Radar DetectorOne thing worth noting is that this radar detector doesn't have GLONASS, but it does have GPS, which connects to satellites in no time.
When you press the City button, you get three modes now: Russia, Moscow, and Kazakhstan. As someone from Kazakhstan, I'm stoked to see that option. You can customize these modes to your liking. In the Moscow mode, all radar detectors are disabled, and only static radar bases are left. I personally didn't like that, so I adjusted the settings to suit my preferences.
The difference between Kazakhstan and Russia is that you can exceed the speed limit by 10 and 20 kilometers, respectively (this is adjustable in settings). The radar base works in both modes.
So, if you're wondering why it's silent when you're driving below the set speed limit, it's because of the 'Speed Filter Function,' which is explained in the manual - check page 5. Unfortunately, not many people take the time to read the manual, and even fewer salespeople can walk you through each feature.
I've found that the Ibox Pro 700 GPS is incredibly easy to use, and the build quality is top-notch. The battery life is also impressive, lasting longer than I expected. Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with this radar detector, and I think it's an excellent value for the money.
