Huawei Pura 80 Pro Smartphone

I've been using the Huawei Pura 80 Pro for a while now, and I'm really impressed with its value for money. The build quality is top-notch, with a solid feel that's hard to find in phones at this price point. Plus, the battery life is ridiculously long - I've gone a full day without needing to charge it, and that's with heavy use. Whether you're a casual user or a power user, this phone delivers. The display is crisp and vibrant, making it perfect for watching videos or browsing the web. I've also been pleased with the ease of use - the interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. I've tried using it for gaming, and it handles it like a pro. Customer support has been responsive too, which is a big plus in my book.

The build quality is top-notch, with solid buttons and a design that can withstand daily wear and tear. The battery life is ridiculously long, lasting over 48 hours with moderate use. I've also been blown away by the camera's ability to capture stunning photos, even in low-light conditions. The phone's performance is snappy and responsive, making it perfect for gaming and multitasking. The screen is big and beautiful, with vibrant colors and a high resolution. And let's not forget the value for money - this phone offers a powerful smartphone experience without breaking the bank. I've had some minor issues with the software, but Huawei's customer support has been top-notch. Overall, I'd highly recommend the Huawei Pura 80 Pro to anyone in the market for a new smartphone.

Hey guys, I'm sure it's happened to all of us at some point - you get a gift before the actual occasion. Maybe you won a prize, your savings account just got replenished, or you just decided to treat yourself a bit early. Whatever the reason, that's exactly what happened to me. I bought this smartphone back in the fall, and I have to admit, I just couldn't wait any longer.
Purchase location: M-Video.
Cost at the time of purchase: 90,000 rubles. Now it's significantly cheaper, and you can get it for a fraction of the price - about 20,000 rubles less.
Brand: Huawei.
We're huge fans of Huawei in our household - we've got three of their smartphones, a smartwatch, and some wireless earbuds. And why not? They've got everything we need.
My new phone came in the original box, straight from the factory. I opened it up to check the condition of the device and the screen.
The box also included a SIM card ejector tool.
I'm glad to see that the charging cable is a proper cord, not some flimsy thing that's going to break easily.
It also comes with a transparent silicone case, which I personally don't find super useful, but some people might appreciate it. The back of the phone is glass, so if you're prone to dropping your devices, you might want to consider getting a good case.
And here's the star of the show - a beautiful, glossy phone with not a single speck of dust on it.
Screen size: 6.8 inches.
On the right, you've got the volume rocker and power button. On the left, it's just empty space.
Up top and down below, you've got the speakers, which deliver a surprisingly good sound.
One thing I noticed right away is the charging cradle and SIM card slot at the bottom.
The home screens look identical to other smartphones. In fact, when transferring data, even the icons line up in the same order as my old device, so settings and getting used to the new layout are a breeze.
Swiping up from the top gives you quick settings – it's totally customizable.
The main settings are standard fare.
I've got to say, I'm a fan of Huawei's lock screen settings, which let you change up the wallpaper after every unlock. You can choose from random images or upload your own.
Operating System: Android.
Processor: HiSilicon Kirin 9020.
Cores: 8.
I've got to say, setting up the ringtone, volume, and screen brightness is a breeze – it's all straightforward and pretty familiar.
What are your top priorities when choosing a smartphone? For me, it's all about having plenty of storage, a long-lasting battery, and a great camera.
The Huawei Pura 80 Pro's battery has a capacity of 5170mAh, which is more than enough to keep the device going all day. As long as you're not gaming non-stop, you should be able to get through the day with normal usage – browsing the web, using apps, listening to music, and the like. And if you do need to top up before bed, you'll be happy to know that this phone has fast charging.
Storage-wise, the Huawei Pura 80 Pro has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage – no microSD card slot in sight.
The camera, in my opinion, is where Huawei truly shines. Even in their more budget-friendly devices, the camera is impressive, and it's no surprise that it's even better in their flagship models.
The camera module on the Huawei Pura 80 Pro is positioned at an angle, which might seem awkward at first, but it actually works really well. The protruding module is cleverly designed to fit snugly in the palm of your hand, reducing the likelihood of dropping the phone.
So, we've got four cameras. I'm not one to use the flash often, but I have to give it up for being there. It's a dual LED flash.
There's optical stabilization. There's autofocus.
A little rundown of the modes. Standard. That's where I spend most of my time. It's the most traditional, and that's where I usually shoot.
Mode for shooting moving objects. You'll need to get used to it.
Portrait. Night. And a whole bunch of additional modes.
Now, I'll show you a few shots from the main camera.
Night mode from Huawei is always solid. Check it out – we were out barbecuing on New Year's Eve, around 10 pm, and the photo looks like it was taken in the middle of the day. It's always impressive.
The grill mode is already turned off in the standard setting.
Another standard photo from last fall. It's a gloomy day outside.
And here's a photo in standard mode with artificial lighting. The device focuses on a specific point, and you need to keep an eye on it. The foreground is bright, and the focus worked perfectly.
Standard mode with artificial lighting and a yellow ceiling light.
Standard mode with evening lighting. There's a dim light on in the room.
And here's a photo taken in the evening with significant zoom. I took it of snowflakes under a lamp. The lamp is about 50 meters away, maybe a bit more.
The macro mode and my little one's beautiful eyes.
And a few random shots from our walks. I took these on the go, without bothering to choose the perfect angle or lighting.
All in all, I'm happy with the camera.
None of these photos have been edited – I'm not a fan of over-processing. I've seen some bloggers' work and it's like I've been there, but the photos have been tweaked so much that the colors are off. Why bother?
The Huawei Pura 80 Pro delivers great shots, with natural color reproduction and no distortion. If the lighting's not great, you can play around with the settings – there's a special mode for that.
As a non-pro photographer, I'm happy with the basic modes.
Front-facing camera also comes with a few modes, and I'm a selfie enthusiast, but I don't use it.
What else? Fingerprint scanner, facial recognition, and other security features are all present.
During calls, my conversation partner can hear me perfectly well, and I have no complaints about the quality of the speakers and microphone. No background noise is noticeable.
On the app side of things. Yeah, no Google services, no RuStore, you'll have to install everything manually, but that's not a big deal and can be sorted out in just a few minutes. The apps work flawlessly, no lag, and everything runs smoothly. Plus, the device doesn't heat up while in use.
The only downside is that it's really heavy. Like, the heaviest smartphone I've ever had.
After several months of use, I haven't encountered any major issues. This phone is a solid choice if you're looking for a powerful smartphone with a great camera.
