Huawei FreeBuds SE Wireless Earbuds

I've been rocking the Huawei FreeBuds SE earbuds for a bit now, and I'm seriously impressed with the sound quality - it's crystal clear and rich. They fit like a glove in my ears, and the design is sleek and modern. Plus, they're a total breeze to use, even for a tech newbie like me. The battery life is decent, too - I can get a couple of days out of them before needing to recharge. I've been using them for a week and the build quality surprised me. The buttons feel solid and the battery lasts longer than I expected. All things considered, I think they're a great value for money.

HUAWEI FreeBuds SE Review: A Wireless Earbuds Game-Changer

Hello to everyone who's considering snapping up a great pair of wireless earbuds for themselves or as a gift for a loved one. I'm excited to share my thoughts on the HUAWEI FreeBuds SE earbuds, which I've been using since March 2023. I think that's long enough to give them a good run and recommend them to others.

I'll fill you in on where I got them from. I received them as a gift from my boyfriend, but I'd actually been eyeing them for ages and had been searching for the right option. He knew about my plans, of course.

Price: 3250 rubles

I used to think wireless earbuds were a bit of a joke and wouldn't really understand how people could use them, but I was wrong. My heart melted when I saw these sleek-looking earbuds, and I just couldn't resist them.

Box and contents:

The box is pretty compact. The front has a picture of the earbuds, along with their name. It's all pretty straightforward, really.

The back has all sorts of information on it, if you're interested.

Here's what I got - the silicone tips. There are three sizes: S, M, and L, and they fit my ears perfectly. They're easy to swap out, and they don't fall off on their own.

The charging cable is a bit short for my taste, and I don't really use it. I've got a Huawei Nova 10 phone, so I just charge it from there. If you're not a fan of short cables, you might want to pick one up ahead of time.

The case with earbuds:

I was really impressed with the soft mint color - I know there's also a white option. The case itself has a pretty sleek design, and it's super easy to carry around in my bag.

Check out the sticky-out bits - don't be alarmed! Those are from the case (which you have to buy separately, by the way - it's not included in the package!!)

The charging case has a little black dot on the front - that's the battery level indicator. It lights up when you open the case, and the color tells you how much juice is left. Green means you're good to go, yellow means it's time to top up, and red means it's dead as a doornail.

When you open the case, you'll see little slots with 'L' and 'R' labels for the earbuds. They've got strong magnets that keep them securely in place (so they don't fall out). There's also a little button that's essential for pairing with your phone. Just turn on Bluetooth and hold it down for a bit.

The only downside to the case is the super shiny surface that's just begging to get scratched.

No worries, though - I just ended up buying a case to go with it (which I'll show you in a sec). And, as it turns out, the case has been pretty low-maintenance - it's white, but it hasn't gotten dirty at all, even after some heavy use. Plus, the indicator light is still super visible through it.

The earbuds themselves. The look:

They're not tiny, but they're not huge either - I'd say they're just about right. Plus, they look really nice.

On the back, there are some magnets that help them snap into the case, and there's also a sensor that detects when the earbuds are actually in your ear.

Functionality:

I've got zero complaints about the sound - it's absolutely amazing. Even at max volume, people around me can still hear it, but honestly, it's not something I'd ever do. The quality is just incredible. It's like putting on a whole different world - pure bliss, no joke. I'd definitely recommend them.

I've got to say, there's another awesome feature - when you're watching a video or listening to an audio track, you can pull one earbud out and the whole thing will pause. And when you put it back in place, everything goes back to normal. I'm obsessed with this feature, especially when I'm commuting.

Okay, I'll admit it, there are more tricks up this device's sleeve than just one. Next up is the double tap on the earbud, which switches tracks or videos. And the best part? You can customize all this stuff in the settings, which I'll get to later.

I can get a full week's worth of battery life, sometimes even more. But! I don't use these things all that often, so your mileage may vary.

As for the nitty-gritty details, you can check out the official website for more info - this is just my two cents.

Connecting and the app:

I'd already installed the AI Life app when I bought my phone, but I'm sure downloading it won't be a problem.

This is what's inside. The first panel usually shows the battery levels for both earbuds and the case.

The gestures - this is where you set up the double tap for each earbud. There are a few options, which you'll see in the screenshots.

I mentioned the pause feature earlier, but you can actually disable it in the 'Detection, worn' section if you want.

I also really appreciate the notification panel, which always has a little tab that shows whether there's a connection to my headphones or not.

When I connect, a little table pops up that shows the battery levels for both the headphones and the case.

That's it, really. I'm absolutely thrilled with these little guys. The sound is amazing for the price, and they work seamlessly. So, go ahead and buy them for yourself or as a gift for someone else.
