Chipsony Creamy Onion Potato Chips

I'm a sucker for a good potato chip, and these Chipsony Creamy Onion ones hit the spot. They're crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and the flavor is rich without being overpowering. It's the perfect snack to munch on while watching your favorite show.

Chipsony Falls Flat for Me

summarizeEditor's Summary

I picked up Chipsony potato chips at my local store, and the bright packaging caught my eye. But once I cracked open the bag, I was let down by the lackluster taste. The colorful design and fun characters on the front are eye-catching, but it's not enough to save the chips from being just okay. For 19 rubles, I expected a lot more.

Chipsony Falls Flat for Me
I picked up Chipsony potato chips at my local store, and the bright packaging caught my eye. The colorful design and fun characters on the front made them hard to resist - I mean, who doesn't love a good cartoon?
Purchase location: My local store, but you can also order them online from KDV if you prefer.
Price: 19 rubles, which isn't bad considering the packaging.
The packaging is seriously eye-catching, and I can see why the kids would love the design. The ingredients are listed on the back of the package in multiple languages, but it's a bit of a pain to read - the text is tiny and dark green on a dark background.
I appreciate that the ingredients aren't the healthiest, but they don't contain palm oil, and the manufacturer's made a point to note that on the packaging.
The nutrition facts are pretty straightforward: 520 calories per 100 grams, and for the whole package (which is 40 grams), it's 208 calories. Not ideal, but not terrible either.
The package opens easily, no scissors needed - just a simple tear-off seal.
The chips themselves are small and kinda pale, but they're ridged, which is a nice touch. I was expecting them to be greasy, but they're not - that's a plus. There's not a lot of seasoning, just a few tiny bits of green. They're crunchy, don't break easily, but to be honest, I found them to be lacking in salt and overall seasoning. They're similar to Russian Potato Chips, but they have a more starchy, less potato-like flavor. The aftertaste isn't pleasant - it's kinda bitter.
Pros and Cons
The packaging is seriously eye-catching, and the kids will love it. No palm oil in the ingredients - that's a big plus. The package is easy to open, no scissors needed. The chips are crunchy and don't break easily.
Cons
Lacking in salt and overall seasoning - it's a bit of a letdown. The aftertaste isn't pleasant - it's kinda bitter. They're similar to Russian Potato Chips, but with a different flavor. The ingredients aren't the healthiest, but that's not a huge surprise.
If you like Russian Potato Chips, you might want to give Chipsony a try. However, for me, these chips were a total letdown, so I wouldn't recommend them. I mean, there are better options out there.
