I'd already tried out a lot of popular, milled coffee brands, so I was looking for something new to catch my eye. Camera Obscura is a pro-level brand in terms of design, with bright and unconventional packaging that matches its name. I tried out their 'Mixtura' blend for the review.
The flavor profile of this blend is quite unique, with notes of cherry, peach, and birthday cookies. It's a mix of Kenyan Karimikui and Colombian Santa Elena in equal proportions, as stated on the packaging. You can see the acidity, bitterness, and sweetness scales.
Kenyan Karimikui is a complex coffee by nature, with its origin evident from the name. They specialize in fruity and berry notes, as well as citrus flavors.
