So, today's review is about the Smelt with Vegetables (ragu) puree.

We all know that fish is an essential part of a child's (and adult's) diet. However, with our finances being what they are, we can't afford salmon or smelt every week. That's why I give my son a ready-made puree with smelt once a week and try to cook mackerel myself.

Age: 8 months+ Volume: 100 grams Available at Detsky Mir, pharmacies. I don't risk buying it elsewhere, as the chances of improper storage increase significantly. Price: ~92 rub to 160 rub (I always get it on sale) The container has a screw-top lid, and the bottle itself is covered with a protective, thick plastic film (no issues so far).

Texture is consistently smooth, gentle, and airy. We started using it from our baby's first solids around 7-8 months, and we're still enjoying it today. Since fish is an allergen, we had to introduce it very carefully. Ingredients are well-balanced, with fiber, protein, and healthy fats. I'm glad that potatoes and zucchini are the top ingredients. Of course, the salmon content is not excessive. This is perfect for introducing our baby's system to solids. The salmon fillet is third on the list. Note that it also contains sunflower oil (not my favorite, but it's necessary). Ideally, I'd like to see extra virgin olive oil added instead. The amount of salt is minimal, but it's there. Salmon Content is a bit of a letdown, as it's only about a third of the mixture. However, we need to remember that this is a starter product. Consuming high amounts of fish can be hazardous for kids (daily intake should be around 30-50 grams). Always consult the WHO's guidelines. Fish can trigger severe allergic reactions, and I'd hate for a parent to feed their child 100 grams of salmon and then panic about an allergy.

I think the manufacturer took all this into account. Additionally, they've balanced the ingredients to include carbohydrates and fiber in the right proportion. For older babies, around a year old, I'd prefer a single-ingredient fish puree, not a stew-like mixture.
