- The case material gets dirty and scratched easily if you don't put it in a protective sleeve.
- The earbuds do tend to get a bit grimy after extended use – but a quick wipe with a cloth usually fixes the issue.
- I've found that the earbuds can be a bit finicky about connecting to my iPhone at times – but it's not a deal-breaker.
- The earbuds don't have the longest battery life – but like I said, I've gotten a week or more out of a single charge, which is still pretty good.
- I wish the earbuds came with a more durable charging case – but it's not a huge issue.
- The earbuds can get a bit hot after extended use – but it's not uncomfortable or anything.

Editor's Summary
I've been rocking Apple AirPods for five years now, and I'm still blown away by how well they hold up. The convenience, sound quality, and design have all aged amazingly well. Of course, there are some minor drawbacks, but overall, I'm still a huge fan. One thing that's really impressed me is how long the battery life has lasted – I've easily gotten a week or more out of a single charge. And let's not forget about the ease of use: just pop them in your ears, and you're good to go. If you're in the market for wireless earbuds, I'd definitely recommend giving AirPods a shot.

My 5-Year AirPods Experience: What Still Works
Hello everyone!
I'm sharing my thoughts on using Apple AirPods wireless earbuds.
I bought my first AirPods back in summer 2019 when I got my iPhone 8 Plus, and about six months prior, I was dealing with the hassle of having to charge my phone while listening to music or watching videos. So, after my summer vacation, I headed straight to the store and picked up my AirPods.
At first, I was blown away by how convenient and easy to use the AirPods were. The automatic connection and pairing feature made it seamless to switch between my iPhone and MacBook. I loved how I could quickly access Siri with a double tap, and the sound quality was amazing.
One of the things that really stood out to me was the design of the AirPods. They have a really natural shape that fits my ears perfectly, and I hardly even notice they're there. Most of the time, I only use one earbud at a time, and that's super convenient. When I pull out an earbud while listening to music or watching a video, my phone automatically pauses. Plus, I can customize the gestures in my phone settings to suit my preferences - for example, tapping on an earbud can pause or skip tracks, and I can even summon Siri.
The earbuds work seamlessly with my Apple Watch and MacBook, too. I've got to say, these headphones are seriously great despite the flaws. I haven't regretted buying them at all during the time I've used them, and they've kept me happy with almost daily use.
However, after almost 5 years of use, I've started to notice some issues with the charging. Mine started to do the same after 3 years of use out of almost 5. Now, they only hold a charge for less than an hour, but I can still use them. It's just the fact that I have to swap them out every 20 minutes that's getting on my nerves - it's not super convenient.
Despite this, I still think the AirPods are perfect for everyday use. The sound quality is great, and they're super easy to use. I would've kept using these earbuds if it weren't for the charging issue. But overall, I'm really happy with my purchase, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair of wireless earbuds.

I was pleasantly surprised by the minimalist design of the AirPods packaging. The white cardboard box is sleek and stylish, just like Apple's design language. Plus, there's a protective film on the box initially.
The first thing you'll notice in the box is the charging case with the AirPods, which was wrapped in a protective film initially.
I found the case to be super convenient to hold in my hand, and it even fits into my smallest purse or pocket. However, the material it's made of gets dirty and scratched easily if you don't put it in a protective sleeve.
On the back of the case, there's a button that lets you connect your headphones to any device.
When you open the charging case with the headphones inside, you'll see a battery indicator. If the light is green, it means the case has enough charge; if it's red, it needs to be charged, and it might flash white if your headphones aren't connected to any device.
The case's lid is magnetic, and the headphones stay in place thanks to the magnets too.
Under the case's base, there's a charging cable.
I've got to say, the earbuds themselves have a really natural shape that fits my ears perfectly - they don't fall out, and I hardly even notice they're there.

My verdict and reason for switching to new AirPods after almost 5 years of use.
The Apple AirPods are perfect for everyday use, with great sound quality.
I would've kept using these earbuds if it weren't for the charging issue - but we know that over time, even our phones can start to lose their charge, right? Mine started to do the same after 3 years of use out of almost 5. Now, they only hold a charge for less than an hour, but I can still use them. It's just the fact that I have to swap them out every 20 minutes that's getting on my nerves - it's not super convenient.
