I have to say, I was totally clueless about what my sister was getting me for my birthday when she handed me this tiny Yandex speaker with Alice. I mean, I had no idea what I was supposed to do with it, until I actually started using it, that is. It's been about six months now, and I'm hooked.

One of the standout features of the Yandex Station Mini is its voice control functionality.

Just say 'Alice', and it's ready to answer any question, play my favorite tunes, or execute any command.

I have to say, it's pretty cool how quickly and accurately Alice picks up on voice commands, even when there's music playing in the room.

But what really blew me away is that she knows each member of my family by name. Of course, we had to set that up beforehand. For my daughter, she only plays kids' content, and when she's near me and I want to listen to something, she'll say, 'Be careful, that's not kid-friendly.' Usually, that's when she's playing foreign music.

The 'Smart Home' feature lets me control compatible devices - from light bulbs to thermostats - with simple voice commands. I don't need that right now, since I don't have any other gadgets that I can sync with Alice. But I'm planning to expand my setup.

Alice isn't just a fun toy - she's also a great source of information. I often ask her about the weather, news, or even recipes. She always gives me up-to-date info and useful tips. What's really cool is that Alice can tell me interesting facts and stories, read me poems and fairy tales, and even share some laughs with me.

Package Contents

The package came with some cute stickers. I'm not sure what to do with them, since I don't want to stick them on the speaker itself. I'm a big fan of Alice's minimalist design.

My column can work both wired and wireless, but I only use it wired. It's on my kitchen counter, and I don't even think about the battery running out.
