Webmoney E-Wallet

I've used Webmoney's e-wallet for online transactions and it's been a total game-changer. This secure and reliable platform makes money management a breeze, whether you're shopping online or sending cash to friends. It's perfect for anyone looking for a hassle-free way to manage their finances, and I've found it's especially great for tracking expenses and staying on top of my budget. Plus, the customer support is top-notch, so you can rest assured you're in good hands.

My Disappointing Experience with Webmoney Wallet

summarizeEditor's Summary

I thought Webmoney was a great way to cash out my online earnings, but it turned out to be a total letdown. The app itself is easy to use, but the fees are outrageous. You'll get slammed with a 50-ruble fee plus a 12.5% commission on every withdrawal, which is just ridiculous. I tried to transfer the money out, but it was a nightmare. I'm glad I only lost a small amount of money, but I wouldn't recommend Webmoney to anyone.

I decided to give online earning a shot by solving captchas, which pay out for solving. The catch was that I'd have to cash out my earnings through Webmoney, but there was a sweet deal - no commission, and a 10% bonus on the amount I withdrew! I thought, why would they do that? There had to be some catch. I looked it up online and found out you can pay with Webmoney on Aliexpress, then withdraw to Yandex Money, a card, or a mobile phone.
I thought, why not? It was worth a shot. So, I downloaded the app, registered, and went through the motions. They made me look into a window, turn my head, and blink my eyes. Okay, I'm not proud. I managed to create a wallet. It turns out the currency is WMZ and WMT.
For reference: 1 WMZ is equivalent to 10 Russian rubles. I decided to withdraw 110 rubles from the captcha-solving service. I did, and it indeed came with a 10-ruble bonus.
Then, I started looking into ways to transfer the money out of Webmoney and... I realized I'd been had. Withdrawal fees are astronomical here: 50 rubles plus 12.5% taken by the wallet itself. I'm talking about a 12.5% commission on every withdrawal. That's just daylight robbery.
Transferring to a mobile phone is the same story: a 10% fee. So, the extra 10 rubles I got weren't just a bonus. It's like they're nickel-and-diming you every step of the way.
The wallet even refuses to transfer to my mobile phone. It says the amount is too small when I enter it in rubles, and then it says I need to enter it in WMZ - but the minimum transfer amount is 100. I entered 100. In the end, it says I don't have enough funds to complete the transaction. Madness.
I've looked into other options for transferring money. You can also pay for internet through this link with a 10% commission. That additional commission is really nice of them.
I was browsing through all the possible ways to withdraw my money when I stumbled upon Yandex Money. But when I clicked on it, I was in for a surprise. Yandex Money is listed as one of the options for transferring money.
To use Yandex Money, I need a wallet with a Moldovan card number (MDL is the code for Moldova). But there are plenty of other services like Uzbek, Tunisian, and more that I can use to transfer money. There are entire sections for education, travel, transportation, food, and even security services.
Yes, that's exactly what I need: transferring money to security services in Uzbekistan and Moldova. I'm stuck on translating to Uzbekistan's Security Management!
I finally threw in the towel on this ungrateful task and realized that the best option is to translate to a card. Yeah, it's gonna cost me around 40 rubles instead of 120, but I don't see any other way out.
I'd strongly advise against this wallet. Even Yumani is better: it's got a lower commission and a more pleasant design. It's like they haven't changed a thing since 2015-2016. And to top it off, they're charging users ridiculous commissions. Even currency exchange services won't help: their commissions are just as outrageous.
The only way out is to never download this shameful app. And I remember when it was one of the best electronic wallets 10 years ago...
