A solid budget phone with one major flaw

summarizeEditor's Summary

I just upgraded to the Realme 15 Pro, and I'm loving it – except for one major flaw. The phone's got a huge battery that lasts all day, solid construction that feels premium, and a ton of features that won't break the bank. But, there's one thing that's got me scratching my head. Let's talk about the good stuff first. The 7000mAh battery is a total game changer – I can go all day without needing to charge it. Plus, the phone's got some serious durability to it, with protection that'll keep it safe from the elements. It's also got a bunch of other features that I'm really enjoying, like the AI tech that helps the phone learn my habits. But, as I said, there's one major flaw that's got me a bit frustrated. I'll get to that in a minute.

A solid budget phone with one major flaw
I was due for an upgrade, and my old phone finally hit the wall. It had been glitching out on me for months, and storage was a total nightmare – I had a ton of apps and photos, but it was like the phone had just forgotten it had any space left. The battery was draining in a few hours, which was the final straw.
I did some research online and settled on the Realme 15 Pro, which basically gave me the latest features without breaking the bank. The phone comes in a familiar yellow box with some minor tweaks to the design – the model name's changed, and there's a nod to the AI tech that's all the rage right now.
The back of the box highlights the phone's benefits, and for me, the 7000mAh battery was a huge deal. I need my phone to last all day, and with my old phone, I was charging it three times a day. Plus, the phone's got some serious durability to it – it's got IP69 protection, which is a major plus.
Inside the box, I found some nice touches, like a soft case that I'll probably swap out for something else, and a SIM card ejector. The phone itself, with a nice summary of its benefits in a different language, is a nice touch.
When I turned it on, I was greeted by a standard Android interface with a camera on the top of the screen. The back of the phone has a nice camera module, and the back feels super smooth, like holding a velvet cloth.
When I went into the device info, I saw that it's got 8GB of RAM and 10GB of internal storage. One thing that caught my eye is the used phone's memory. The SIM card tray is also pretty interesting – it's got slots for SIM cards on both sides.
The phone also comes with a bunch of AI-related features, such as gesture navigation for video playback, eye protection, and some other technical stuff like increased processing power at the cost of battery life, clearer voice, and dynamic noise reduction.
As for the camera quality, it's pretty decent for a mid-range phone – the photos are clear and natural-looking. The Realme 15 Pro is a solid mid-range smartphone that's got everything a modern person needs, but it's missing one crucial thing – a 3.5mm headphone jack. I get that it's not a big deal for everyone, but for me, it's a major drawback.
I've been using the Realme 15 Pro for a while now, and I'm generally happy with it. The battery life is amazing, and the camera is decent. However, I do miss having a 3.5mm headphone jack. If you're in the market for a mid-range smartphone and don't need a headphone jack, the Realme 15 Pro is definitely worth considering.
I'd give the Realme 15 Pro 4 out of 5 stars. It's a solid budget phone that's got everything a modern person needs, but it's missing one crucial thing – a 3.5mm headphone jack.
