Why I'm Loving My Raiffeisenbank Card for Cashback Rewards

summarizeEditor's Summary

I recently switched back to my Raiffeisenbank card for its unbeatable cashback rewards program. With 1.5% cashback on almost all purchases and no limit on the final cashback amount, it's a total game changer for anyone who wants to maximize their rewards. I've tried other cards with similar offers, but this one has consistently delivered. Plus, the application process is super convenient - you can apply remotely and have the card delivered right to your doorstep. I've been using it for a while now, and I'm really impressed with the value for money it offers.

Hello everyone!
I was excited to try out the Cashback on cards program, and I had a Tinkoff card that I still had, but I switched to an AlfaBank card because the conditions were more interesting for cashback. However, those cashback cancellations and restorations with completely different terms really put me off. That's when I remembered my old Raiffeisenbank card, which I hadn't used in ages. I decided to check the conditions and was pleasantly surprised to find that it's got cashback conditions of 1.5% on almost all purchases, with no limit on the final cashback amount. Most banks have a limit of 3,000-5,000 rubles on the cashback, but here, there are no restrictions, even up to 20,000 rubles will be credited and paid to the card in the next month from the 5th to the 10th. So, I've got three debit cards now, and I choose which one to use depending on the current offers.
Card application.
You can apply for it remotely, without leaving home. You fill out the application, a small mini-questionnaire on the card, and a courier brings it to your address. It's convenient that you don't have to spend time visiting the bank, everything is done for the client, and you can apply remotely.
You can also apply in a branch, but it's up to you, personally, I prefer to avoid wasting time visiting banks and standing in queues.Card conditions and tariffs.
The card is free, but almost all debit cards are free, unless they have some privileges. Cash withdrawals without commissions in bank ATMs and partners. In others, it's 1% of the amount, with a minimum of 100 rubles.
Partner list.
One of the things I like about this card is that there are no limits on transfer amounts, unlike with Sberbank. But let's be real, Sberbank has some pretty awful conditions. Cashback on card. This is probably the most interesting part of this card, as cashback is applied to almost all purchases, except for topping up your mobile phone, paying for utilities, and – for some reason – buying phones at mobile phone stores. Occasionally, there are other purchases where cashback isn't applied (it's happened to me a couple of times), so it's a good idea to check the codes for cashback to avoid any surprises. Cashback on all purchases is 1.5%, which is quite competitive compared to other similar cards. The only downside is that there's no increased cashback on specific categories, like there is with Tinkoff and Alfa. Cashback on categories (taxis, beauty, cars, etc.) is 5%. With this card, you don't get that, so if I need to make a purchase in a category that's connected to one of my other cards, I'll use that card instead, and all other purchases will be made on my Raiffeisenbank card. There are also partner offers with increased cashback, but they're not very common and don't get updated very often.
I was a bit disappointed that there aren't any tiered cashback categories like in Alfa or Tinkoff, but even without them, the cashback is still pretty good. You can check your cashback history by looking at your purchase history, and it's shown at the bottom of each purchase. You can even dive into a specific purchase and see the details. The best part for me, and what really sets this apart, is that there are no limits on the cashback amount. Unlike Tinkoff, which has a limit of 3,000 rubles, and Alfa, which has a limit of 5,000 rubles, this cashback program has no limits, so I can earn 1.5% on all my purchases, without any hassle. And the cherry on top is that there are no restrictions on the cashback amount, which is a huge relief. I've had issues with Alfa in the past where they wouldn't count a purchase towards the cashback, and it was a real pain. But here, it's all smooth sailing, and I can earn cashback on every purchase I make.I've been using this card for a few months now, and the cashback rewards have been a pleasant surprise. In February, I earned a cashback of between 4,000 to 16,000 rubles, which is a pretty sweet deal. Over the course of 3.5 months, the total cashback I received was over 36,000 rubles, and I think that's a great return on investment.
Cashback for February. Cashback for March. Cashback for April. As for May, the cashback is still being processed, but it's already added up to 5,440 rubles. Cashback is paid out from the 5th to the 10th of the following month in rubles to the bank card, which is super convenient. Unlike some other banks, like Sber, which has a completely useless cashback system. Most of the time, I get my cashback on the 6th, which is why I've been using this card consistently.
If you're interested in savings accounts and deposits, there are two options for accumulating funds: a deposit and a savings account. To be honest, the deposit conditions are pretty laughable - 2% interest on the deposited amount, which is credited monthly.
I've got to say, the interest rate on this savings account is pretty underwhelming. You get 6% on balances up to 150,000 rubles, but anything above that and you're only earning 0.01% on the excess. Not exactly the most compelling terms, if you ask me. The App. I've been using the app for a while now, and I've got to say, it's pretty user-friendly. You can easily check your transaction history, see how much cashback you've earned, make transfers, pay bills, and even top up your phone. If you do run into any issues with a transfer, payment, or purchase, you can easily reach out to the bank's chat support, and they'll get back to you pretty quickly. I'm pretty happy with this card and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good cashback deal. It's currently the most rewarding card I've got in my wallet, but I do have a combo going on – I use this card for all my purchases, and then I've got my Tinkoff and Alfa cards for when I'm buying something in a category with a higher cashback rate. That way, I'm maximizing my rewards across all my cards. If you're looking for a good cashback deal and a solid bank, I'd say give this card from Raiffeisenbank a shot. Check out my reviews of other cards and banks over here: Link to other review Thanks for tuning in, folks. I've got to give a shoutout to the banks I've been raving about so far - Alfa Bank's card was a great choice before the hike in cashback and no changes to the terms and conditions, that is.
Sberbank's been a bit of a letdown, to be honest.Tinkoff's Black card is another story altogether.I've got to say, it's been a wild ride, and I'm glad I could share my experiences with you all.
