A Reliable Power Bank That's Saved Me from Dead Batteries
I've been living in the dark ages without a reliable power bank, but that all changed when I got my hands on the Hoco J102 10000. As someone who's glued to their phone or tablet for 10-12 hours a day, I needed a device that would make my life easier.
Power banks have become a staple in modern life, and I've used my fair share of them. But I never thought I'd need one as powerful as this. That's why I headed to my go-to online store, Ozon, to find a power bank that would fit my needs.
And today, I'm sharing my review of the Hoco J102 10000, which has become my reliable friend.

The power bank arrived pretty quickly, within a week, and I got it at the pickup point. It came in a box, which I didn't bother opening initially (I sometimes skip package checks and things can go wrong). Luckily, everything was fine this time, and I made sure the power bank was in its original packaging and hadn't been tampered with.
The packaging design is definitely eye-catching - it's a bright blue and yellow color scheme with white lettering. But what really matters is what's inside the box.
The power bank itself is a sleek black design, and it comes with a standard Type-C charging port, two Micro USB ports, and a USB port. The cable is a bit short, coming in at just over 30cm, but it's long enough to easily charge my phone in the pocket of my jacket.
The power bank also has a small display, which is wrapped in plastic to prevent scratches. I was hesitant to remove it, but I finally did when it started peeling off and getting all tattered. And I'm glad I didn't, because as soon as I removed it, I thought the screen would start getting scratched and dirty.
But it's not just the screen that's prone to scratches - the entire power bank is. On the back of the power bank, you'll find all the details about the model, country of origin, and manufacturer.
By the way, on the right-hand side, there's a button to turn on the screen, which also acts as a reboot button - it came in handy when my power bank stopped working and refused to charge my phone, even though it was fully charged. I pressed the button for 10 seconds, and voila! The device was back to life.
I have to admit, there was one instance where the power bank got really hot and started making a weird humming noise during charging. At one point, it even stopped charging altogether. I had to find a makeshift solution using something at home to keep it going.
On the flip side, the power bank does come with fast charging technology, which is great for quickly topping up my phone or tablet. However, it takes an awfully long time to charge the power bank itself – I'm talking around 3-4 hours on a full cycle.
I didn't notice a huge difference in charging times when using the original cable versus third-party cables.

So far, I'm really enjoying the HOCO J102 10000 power bank. It's given me the peace of mind to stay connected even when I'm not near a power outlet, and I can play games without worrying about my phone's battery dying suddenly.
