I'd previously bought insurance from SberBank, but I wasn't expecting much from AlfaStrakhovanie. However, they really came through for me with a nice bonus of 8,000 rubles for the New Year.
I'm going to walk you through how to buy a policy and file a claim if something goes wrong.
It's actually pretty straightforward. Just head over to the AlfaStrakhovanie website.
Register, then click on the "Travel" tab, followed by "Flight Insurance".
Next, choose the "Get Policy" option, and fill in the details from your flight ticket.
Then, select the type of policy you want: "Light" or "Comfort". The "Light" option costs around 500 rubles, while the "Comfort" option is about 800 rubles, but it offers higher payouts in case of a claim.
After that, fill in the information for the passengers covered by the policy.
Finally, make the payment, and the electronic policy will be sent to your email. It's a good idea to download and save the document as soon as possible, as it will make it easier to file a claim if needed.

When uploading electronic documents, I encountered some minor issues: the large files had to be compressed, otherwise the website would start to lag and freeze. I had to redo it a few times.Next, you'll receive an email with your claim and the information that it's been submitted for review.
On the next day, I received a notification that the sum of 8,000,000 rubles had been approved for payment. At the same time, I got an SMS with a link to the page for transferring money (the link is valid for 30 days). After clicking on the link, I just needed to enter the bank card number of the insured person, and the money was transferred instantly.
I'm generally satisfied with the service and would recommend it. I give it 5 stars.
