I double-checked the order confirmation email, and everything looked fine. It was clear that someone had made a mistake internally, which wasn't cool.
But that was just the beginning. When the order finally arrived, it was completely different from what I had ordered. Half of the items were missing, including the exotic fruits I had specifically requested. Instead, the box was filled with grapes, which weren't even on my list. I had asked for a delivery list, but it was nowhere to be found. To make matters worse, the driver didn't even call my mom to confirm the delivery, which I had requested.
Another issue was the free gift card I had included with the order. It was supposed to come with a personalized message, but when the box arrived, it was nowhere to be found. I only discovered later that it wasn't even included in the order. The confirmation email didn't mention the gift card, so I'm still not sure what happened to it. What's the point of promoting gift boxes if you can't even deliver them correctly? This isn't just about a mix-up; it's about someone not getting their gift. And to make matters worse, I had to deal with a company that seemed to be ignoring my concerns.
That same evening, I placed a similar order with Yandex Market, and it arrived within 20 minutes, exactly as ordered. The prices were significantly lower, and the fruits were fresh. Needless to say, I won't be using Edoque again anytime soon.
Looking back, I realize that I had been taking Edoque's service for granted. They had consistently delivered quality products, but this experience showed me that they're not as reliable as I thought.
