Why Dixy's Loyalty Program is a Total Disaster

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been using the Diksi app for a while now, but my experience with Dixy's loyalty program has been a total disaster. They often have cashback deals with banks like Tinkoff, which initially drew me in. But when I tried to redeem my rewards, I hit a brick wall. The program's lack of transparency and poor customer support have left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I've tried shopping at Dixy several times, but the loyalty program's issues have made me question whether it's even worth it. To be honest, I'm not sure what's more frustrating - the program's complexity or the fact that customer support doesn't always help.

Hello there, review reader.
I've already written a review about the Diksi app, and at the time, I was getting frustrated with the Diksi network.
But now I'm just livid!
The reason for my frustration is pretty simple: the loyalty program at Dixy is a total disaster.
I do most of my shopping online, and these days, there are often great deals with cashback from banks.
For example, Tinkoff Bank often offers cashback at Diksi.
I've used the Diksi app a couple of times specifically because of these cashback deals.
I discovered that they have my favorite categories.
And that's really tempting.
You can also get a very attractive cashback on three separate items.
To do this, you need to use the Diksi friends club card, which will earn you these bonuses. The more you shop, the better the deal.
I'd accumulated 400 bonus points, which is equivalent to 400 rubles.
They accumulated really quickly.
I've never seen such generosity in other stores.
I was expecting a catch, but there wasn't one.
Free stuff is usually only found in mouse pads...
Then, I received an additional 100 fast bonus points, but they have a limited validity period and can only be used on some products.
500 rubles is a decent sum, so I decided to head to the store.
Unfortunately, I couldn't redeem my online bonus points like I could in other stores.
I had to physically go to the store.
We have really bad stores in our city, but I decided to take a walk.
It turned out that it wasn't that simple either!
The bonus points couldn't be redeemed.
The store employees couldn't tell me why.
And to make matters worse!
The cashier told me that her system wasn't working either.
The employees at Diccy can't even redeem their own bonus points.
That's just beyond comprehension.
How is that possible?
I called for the manager, and she sent me to the hotline.
She said that the loyalty system had nothing to do with them.
It works sometimes, but not others, and that's not their problem.
In short, the employees at Diccy aren't loyal either.
Nor is the loyalty system.
I'm a persistent and competitive person.
I thought I'd wear them down, but it didn't work out that way!
My husband tried to redeem the bonus points at different Diccy stores on his way home.
They couldn't be redeemed.
So, the problem isn't with the individual store.
And another interesting thing - the QR code in the app changes.
You have to update it constantly.
An old screenshot won't work.
That's really inconvenient.
I called the hotline, and they told me that I needed to make a purchase using my card to get help.
But I didn't want to make a purchase without redeeming my bonus points.
I came to the store specifically for those bonus points.
But the hotline insisted that they couldn't help me.
I was thrilled to find a booze purchase in the app.
It was perfect timing, as I'd just bought a gift for my colleagues a few days ago.
But when I tried to pay with my card, it kept failing.
I figured it was just a glitch, so I tried to cancel the rest of my order.
But the cashier told me to try paying with a second check for the non-alcoholic items, which would bypass the bonus system.
I did that, but still, the bonus didn't kick in, and I ended up abandoning my purchase.
It's a real shame, because I was really looking forward to redeeming those points.
I received a text message from the store apologizing for the issue, but it didn't seem like they were going to do anything to fix it.
So, I'm out of luck - my 500 rubles are essentially gone.
I wouldn't recommend Dixy to anyone, and their loyalty program is a total disaster.
I think Dixy is one of the worst stores in our city, and I won't be stepping foot in there again.
It's not just the loyalty program that's the problem - the stores are always dirty, cramped, and have a really limited selection.
And to top it all off, I've found expired products in pretty much every Dixy I've visited.
