- I've noticed that they can be a bit pushy with their sales calls, trying to get me to sign up for additional services.
- Not all of the staff are super knowledgeable about the bank's policies and procedures, which can be a bit frustrating.
- I wish they would be more transparent about the conditions for using certain services - it's not always clear what I'm getting myself into.
- Sometimes the lines can get a bit long, especially during peak hours.
- I've had a few issues with the mobile app, but nothing too major.

Editor's Summary
I recently made the switch to Alfa Bank for my deposit account, and I gotta say, it's been a total game changer. The cashback rates are significantly higher than what I was getting at T-Bank and Sberbank, and the convenience of having a branch near my place is a major plus. Of course, there are some downsides, but overall, I'm really happy with my decision.
Specifications
Hello everyone! 🌷
🔅 I actually ended up at Alfa Bank because the rates at T-Bank and Sberbank weren't doing it for me when it came to deposit accounts. I was looking for something convenient and profitable. Alfa Bank seemed like the way to go.
It's conveniently located near my place, and the office is super cozy. The staff does a great job of keeping the lines short and getting everything sorted out.
cashback is 2-3 times higher than at other banks
Let's start with the positives:➕ First off, I was really stoked about the cashback. Check out the numbers on the photo above - and I've used more than just Alfa Bank, but the cashback is still pretty sweet.
⚜️They gave me 3% on groceries! We spend a pretty penny on those.
⚜️They also give out higher cashback on pharmacies, beauty salons, and fast food...
At first, I started comparing Alfa Bank to the others and thinking, 'Why didn't I switch to this bank sooner and get a card? But, of course, there are some downsides - it's the same for all banks when a new customer comes in.
All banks throw out the welcome mat with great deals to keep customers. So, don't count on the cashback being a constant thrill. Plus, the world situation affects the banking business too.
➕ Alfa Account:They also gave me a pretty sweet interest rate - 21% for the first two months if I kept my money in the savings account.
I chose the minimum balance to get those 21% interest rates.❕You have to put the money in at the beginning of the month for it to count for the whole month. If I had put it in, say, October 25th, the bank would pay out interest on all accounts and deposits by the last day of the month. So, that month would only count as one month, and the next month would be the second month, and the last one.
⚜️Big thanks to the staff at the office for explaining everything to me in detail.
You can put up to 1,500,000 rubles under the high interest rate.
❕And if you choose the minimum balance, you put in 100,000, take out 50,000, and then put it back on the account. The bank will calculate the interest for the minimum balance for the month, i.e., for 50,000, not 100,000.
💴So, I just left the money alone until I got the interest for the second month, and then I closed the account.
I was lucky enough to have exactly 95,000 rubles, and I also withdrew 100,000 from another bank's credit card (no commission) and deposited it into my account. In the end, I got a profit of 6,899.47 rubles.
➕ You can return a cashback of up to 5,000 rubles within a month.
➕ Alfa Bank has good deposits, so I also opened a deposit.
Now let's move on to the minuses)
➖ Then the interest rate becomes unprofitable on the accumulation account. So, I keep accounts with daily interest in another bank. This is a minus for Alfa Bank.
➖ There are commissions, some checks are paid, and there are insurance... Although they removed everything in the office, I could have withdrawn the money. In the end, the bank still took out a 'hidden' commission... I wrote to the chat, and they immediately returned it.
Why I deducted a point
➖ I don't like the very much advertising in the Alfa Bank app, the app itself is complicated. There's a lot of pressure to take out loans, various services, and investments. At first, it really annoyed me, but now I've gotten used to it.➖ The annoying calls (regarding the deposit). They want me to connect the premium service from Alfa Bank Alfa Only.
✔️ By the way, I opened a card for my kid.
They gave her a cashback of 5% on groceries )))))
Plus, the cashback is in rubles, not in points, like in another popular bank.
You can choose a higher cashback, just like for adults.
⚜️⚜️⚜️
Using Alfa in general is still profitable. We'll see what happens next.
The main thing is to read and study everything that the bank offers, because there are moments where you'll have to pay.
Thanks to all who made it to the end. ❤️
Maybe you'll find it useful or interesting to read:
I'm already not the same. I regret that I used to forget about the app, and now it forgets about us. My earnings on Edadil and what it's useful for now.
I'll tell you how to withdraw money without commission from Yumani with an iPhone and any other smartphone. About transferring money to another country, although they refused in other banks. Pros and cons.
The scent is better than Victoria's Secret, all for 500 rubles.
