I'm stoked to finally share my experience with Banderolka, the international shipping service that's been on my radar for ages.

I first came across Banderolka back in October or November, and I was curious about what it's all about. Turns out, it's a service that delivers goods from abroad, since some international brands have bailed on the Russian market.

But here's the thing: it's a total lifesaver! I mean, who doesn't love getting their hands on products from their favorite brands? Banderolka's like a middleman service that helps you get what you want from those international brands, even if they're no longer available in Russia.

So, is it worth it? That's what I'm here to tell you. In this review, I'll share my experience with ordering, how easy it was, how long I had to wait, and I'll even show you my order.

BANDAROLKA - THE LOWDOWN

Banderolka's essentially a middleman service that lets you buy products from international brands and online stores. They've got an official website - I'll link it below - check it out! That's what their homepage looks like.

When I first landed on their website, I was a bit confused, but you can figure it out.

They also have a calculator that lets you estimate the delivery cost - all you need to know is the package weight.

HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER?

To place an order, you need to register on their website and fill out your info. Since the package will go through customs, you need to fill it out accurately.

bandarolka reviewsAfter that, you choose the store you want to get the product from. I chose Decathlon, which is in the European stores section, so Banderolka will buy the product from the Berlin warehouse and then send it to my address in Russia.

When you fill out the product info on Banderolka's website, you need to do it correctly and in English. After you place your order, they'll generate an invoice for payment, including their commission for buying the product. The commission's calculated individually for each case and is included in the invoice.

After I made the payment (using my card), the service took care of the order right away. If there's anything unclear, the manager will reach out to you via email.

I had a manager reach out to me, asking some questions to clarify things. I think I filled everything out correctly, but I'm not sure why they needed to contact me. Either way, it's great to see that the managers are on top of things and double-checking the details to ensure the package arrives as expected, not a disappointment. The processing time depends on how accurately everything is filled out, but it usually takes around a week.

Once the service takes care of the order, it's shipped to the recipient's address. But before that, another bill is generated - this time for shipping.

In my case, the items I ordered came out to €57.97. Plus, there was a $30.23 fee for the commission and shipping. The only thing that's a bit annoying is that the bills are in both dollars and euros.

SHIPPING / TRACKING

Shipping's done through various methods. I chose Russian postal service. It took 16 days from the time the package arrived at the Berlin post office to when I received it, so it's not exactly fast shipping.

But if you're okay with waiting, it's worth considering. Even with the service fee for pickup and shipping, the purchase ends up being a better value than buying similar items here in Russia.

By the way, I forgot to mention that before the package is shipped to your address, you need to fill out a customs declaration and you can specify whether you want the shoes to be sent in a branded box or not - it's those little details that matter.

You can track the package using the tracking number, which is available in your account under the 'orders' section. And I also got email notifications about the package's status. So, the service is pretty much always reminding you what to do next.

MY PACKAGE

So, my package arrived in a pretty big cardboard box with branded tape from Banderolki. Inside this box was a plastic bag.
