A quirky little gadget that grew on me
Hello there, reader!
I've always found Yves Rocher to be a bit intriguing, with a touch of mystery to it. Not all their products resonate with me, but I've been buying their stuff on and off for years.
Even though I have a local boutique in my city, I prefer shopping online. There are several reasons for this:
I can browse the selection at my own pace, without feeling rushed like I would in a physical store.
There's always a wide range of gift options available.
I can usually find a promo code online, which is a nice bonus.
And of course, online shopping offers the convenience of doorstep delivery.
Somewhat recently, I've had the chance to try out another product from Yves Rocher, specifically the Yves Rocher Soothing Camomile Bio Make-Up Remover Cream - a product that's been on my radar for a while.
I was really impressed with the packaging - it's compact, yet feels premium. The flip-top lid works perfectly, keeping the product fresh and secure, even when it's at the bottom of the tube.
The design is bright, cheerful, and feels like a refreshing summer vibe. It's also super easy to find all the necessary product information on the back of the packaging, or on the official website.
I was happy to see that most of the ingredients are naturally sourced, but there are still some synthetic ones in there...
Here's the full list of ingredients:
AQUA/WATER/EAU, COCO-CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE, HYDROXYPROPYL STARCH PHOSPHATE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, METHYLPROPANEDIOL, HYDROGENATED COCONUT OIL, CETEARETH-33, CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA (MATRICARIA) FLOWER WATER, XANTHAN GUM, HYDROXYACETOPHENONE, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, CAPRYLHYDROXAMIC ACID, GLYCERIN, SIGESBECKIA ORIENTALIS EXTRACT, CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA (MATRICARIA) FLOWER EXTRACTACACIA SENEGAL GUM, CITRIC ACID, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, TOCOPHEROL, 10530v0
I have to say, I wasn't thrilled about some of the ingredients in EcoGlow.
At first glance, the product looks like a regular cream. It has a white color and a thick consistency.
The cream has almost no scent, just a very subtle hint of chamomile. There are no harsh chemical fragrances, which is a big plus.
The application method of this cream was interesting (at least for me, it was the first time I've come across a product like this). It reminded me of how you use a hydrophilic oil.
Apply in the morning and/or evening to dry skin on your face, eyes, and lips. Gently massage it in, then rinse.
I found the cream to be quite easy to use. It has a pleasant texture - applying it to my skin was comfortable (unlike hydrophilic oils, which I'm not a fan of). The cream doesn't spread all over my face, and the dissolving texture makes it easy to distribute evenly.
Since I apply the cream to dry skin, the initial result is a bit messy, as all the makeup gets smeared around my face. But after washing it off with water, my skin looks transformed
I've found that this remover works great with my everyday makeup, but it can be a bit trickier with a full face of makeup. You just need to use a bit more product and give it a good rub.
The amount of product you need is really economical, and a small amount is enough for a day's worth of makeup removal.
This remover doesn't dry out my skin, cause any irritation or discomfort. Overall, it's had a pretty positive effect on my skin. I haven't noticed any negative reactions.
However, I don't think of this as a proper cleanser - it's more of a makeup remover. It leaves a slight greasy feeling on my skin, which isn't ideal. After using this remover, I still need to wash my face with a proper cleanser (gel, foam, or powder). Some people might find this inconvenient, but for me, it's a better option than using micellar water.
I really liked the Soothing Makeup Remover with Chamomile from Yves Rocher. I liked both the results and the format of the product. My favorite part is the easy application (I'd rather wash my face twice than use cotton pads...). My skin reacts pretty well to the remover, which is a big plus. And the price is pretty reasonable, especially considering how long the product lasts.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product. I'd definitely repurchase it with no hesitation!
I'd definitely recommend it to others!
Overall, I'm really happy with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a gentle and effective makeup remover.
It's worth noting that this product is not suitable for everyone, especially those with sensitive skin. But for me, it's been a game-changer.
So, if you're looking for a makeup remover that's easy to use, gentle on the skin, and effective, then I'd definitely recommend giving this a try.
Just remember to follow the instructions carefully and use it as directed.
