I'm still shaken by the complete mess that was my experience with this organization. It was a huge letdown, and I'm not exaggerating.
On August 27th, my partner and I dropped off our documents for an Estonian visa at their Old Town office, after confirming the processing time and giving them our planned travel date of September 29th. We were told to come back on August 30th for fingerprinting.
But when my partner showed up on August 30th, ready to get fingerprinted, we hit a roadblock. It turned out our documents weren't even there! At 11:50, the case manager called to say don't bother coming in today, your documents aren't ready yet. Try again on Monday, September 2nd at 11:30.
Fast forward to August 31st, and the case manager was suddenly asking for a selfie. When I sent it, she asked for a better photo 'for the documents.' Yeah, because that's exactly what I needed - more paperwork.
We finally made it to fingerprinting on September 2nd without any hiccups.
Then, on September 13th, the case manager sent us a message saying one of our applications was approved for six months, while the other had issues and needed our Russian passport scans. We sent the scans, and they said the visa would be ready in 10 days.
But on September 27th, the visa still wasn't ready, and our passports were nowhere to be found. We were supposed to leave on September 29th. I spent hours trying to reach the case manager, but she was in transit and promised to call back in 30 minutes. She eventually called back after I started looking up the organization's official name, address, and CEO's details to write a complaint to the prosecutor's office. She promised to try and resolve the issue.
In the end, we managed to get our day's worth of travel and accommodation costs back, but our passports with the visa are still MIA - although they promised to process them for a fee.
As of today, I'm still waiting for my passports to be returned. My vacation is ruined, and I'm left wondering what could've been done differently.
Looking back, I wish we'd done our research better before choosing this organization. Maybe we would've avoided all the hassle.
If you're planning to apply for a visa, I'd say steer clear of this place. Trust me, you don't want to go through what we went through.
The whole experience was a complete waste of time and money.
I'm just glad we were able to get our costs back, but it's not the same as getting our passports with the visa.
I'll never forget this experience, and I'll make sure to share it with everyone I know.
The lack of communication and organization was staggering. It's a shame to see an organization handle things so poorly.
I've never felt so frustrated and disappointed in my life.
