Hello everyone!
I have to admit, I used to think it was pretty ironic when I saw young people lugging around selfie sticks. But time went on, and now I've got one too – although I didn't buy it for taking selfies.
I ordered it from Ozon, and my main criteria were the price ($35.46) and positive reviews. While I was researching the product, I noticed that even with similar designs and features, the quality can vary greatly. It's all about luck, really – whoever gets the good stuff.
The reason I bought it was to use it as a tabletop tripod for my smartphone when taking photos for reviews. I could have used a tripod from a photo lamp, but the lack of a Bluetooth remote control limits the possibilities when I need to be in the shot.
I chose a universal model because you never know what feature you might need in the future.
Country of origin: China.
The tripod is compact and fits easily in a bag.
Minimum length: 30 cm, maximum length: 170 cm
The extendable rod goes up to a height above my own. The weight of the stick is 280 grams. It doesn't fatigue your hands, and thanks to the stability of the three-legged base, it doesn't fall over when extended.Maximum load on the tripod: 1 kg
I've found that the tripod works well for phone photography, but I wouldn't risk using it with a camera and a long lens.
The monopod has 7 sections that extend with a bit of force.
Precisely because of its compact design, the monopod prevents accidental folding. The genius of this design is that it combines the functions of a monopod and a tripod.
Monopod is a sturdy rod made of high-quality material (stainless steel or aluminum) with a camera on one end and a comfortable grip on the other. Initially, photographers and videographers used it to support heavy equipment: the camera is placed on the rod, not in their hands.
Tripod is a classic three-legged stand that provides maximum stability. It's perfect for professional shooting and working with heavy gear: optical and laser equipment.
I can shoot from the hand or from a more stable position with the three-legged stand.
The tripod is made of materials with relatively good quality: ABS plastic and metal, which guarantee the device's strength and durability. The plastic parts of the construction are flexible enough. There's no chemical smell.
What really impressed me about this tripod is its stability. The legs are perfectly straight and sturdy. I put it to the test in some tough conditions – using it for a DIY project where I needed to get some decent lighting. I was able to get some great shots of the walls and ceiling, even in low-light areas. And when I was painting, it came in handy for highlighting any imperfections in the finish. This tripod is lightweight, stable, and takes up minimal space. I was able to move it around easily and adjust the lighting to get the perfect shot. I've used it in a bunch of everyday situations where I needed some extra lighting, like when I'm cooking or working on a project. The most stress on the tripod was put on the rotating holder, which can be turned 360 degrees.
And it's also great for fixing your phone in a vertical or horizontal position The phone holder has a really tight grip, which is great for keeping your device secure. The tripod holder is compatible with both Android and iPhone devices, but be aware that it's limited to devices with a width of up to 9cm. I had to remove my phone's case to get it to fit. The holder's spring is really tight, which made me a bit worried that I'd damage my phone's casing. But after some careful maneuvering, I was able to get my phone in and out without any issues. The phone holder's ears fold up for compact storage
I've been using this tripod for a while now, and I've gotta say, the build quality is top-notch. Even when I'm actively using it, the legs don't budge, and I don't have to tighten the bolt to keep the head from falling off.
The best part about this tripod is the Bluetooth button and LED lights. It's a big plus for photographers who want to take their shots to the next level. The Bluetooth button is powered by a battery, and it has a range of up to 10 meters. I connected it to my phone in no time, and it's super easy to use, even for a beginner. The icons on the button make it intuitive to navigate. For those who prefer video tutorials, there are plenty of online resources and video blogs to help you get started. No need to read the manual if you're not a fan of reading. One thing I appreciate about this tripod is its simplicity. There are no extra ports or unnecessary features that clutter the design. The LED lights are a great touch, and they're removable and rechargeable using the USB cable provided.
The lights are battery-powered and can be used independently of the tripod. Just make sure to recharge them periodically, as they do run out of juice eventually. I'm really impressed with this tripod's value for money. It's a solid investment for any photographer looking to upgrade their gear. The lack of a battery indicator means you'll never know when the light's gonna go out. The built-in light has two modes and provides decent diffused lighting. Each light has its own separate brightness control, tucked away on the back of the unit. For casual photography, the build quality is more than sufficient.
I've found myself using this tripod more often than my other, heavier-duty one at home.
