Synergetic's New Bottle is a Game-Changer for Dish Soap
I've tried out a bunch of different dish soap brands, and for me, it all comes down to three things: how well it cleans, how well it foams, and how dry it leaves my hands.
When I'm choosing a new dish soap, I usually look for the bottle with a pump dispenser. Unfortunately, those are pretty rare.
One brand that consistently gets it right is Synergetic - their bottles all have pump dispensers, which makes a huge difference for me.
I actually stumbled upon their new beige bottles with a pump dispenser a few months ago on a marketplace. I was put off by the price of around 400 rubles for a 750ml bottle.
But I ended up forgetting about it while I was searching for a cheaper option. When we went shopping for New Year's at the Lenta supermarket, I actually stumbled upon those beige bottles again - and they were on sale.
So, I ended up buying the gelp-balm dish soap Synergetic "Basil and mint". The price came out to 249 rubles.
I usually just bought the Synergetic gel and then transferred it to their bottles once they ran out. Then, when the bottles got worn out, I'd buy new ones and just keep going.
I've got to say, the new bottles are a game-changer. They're huge and transparent, so I can easily see when I'm running low on the gel. The old version of the bottle was okay, but this one looks way more stylish and cozy. It's part of their home collection series, which seems like a nice touch. The gel itself is still the same, but the bottle is brand new. I'm not sure how long these new bottles will be around, but I'm thinking they'll last me at least a couple of years - we're talking about the bottle itself, not the gel inside.
The bottle is made of dense, beige-colored plastic. It's not transparent, and there are no stickers or labels on it. All the information about the product is printed directly on the bottle.
The bottle is wide, but the walls are pretty narrow. It's got a nice, smooth feel to it, and it's not too slippery to hold. One thing I do wish they'd done is add a half-transparent strip on the side to show how much gel is left.
Info about the product is on the back of the bottle, printed tiny, but readable. Here you'll find the product description, ingredients, expiration date, and manufacturer's info.
I won't dwell on the ingredients, but rest assured these gel dish soaps by Synergetic are biodegradable and safe. You can use them to wash fruits and veggies, kids' toys, and dishes. They're septic-safe and contain moisturizing ingredients, so your hands won't suffer from dryness after use.
The pump dispenser was initially submerged in the bottle, so I had to twist it to lift it up.
The pump nozzle is round and wide, allowing the gel to flow out easily. It doesn't clog, but sometimes a small drop of gel might hang from the nozzle. I just wipe it off with my finger, and the bottle's clean again.
The pump lifts up quickly, the nozzle doesn't stick out too far, and it works flawlessly when you press it.
The gel has a thick, white, opaque consistency with a uniform, herbaceous fresh scent. The aroma is pungent, with a noticeable freshness of mint and a hint of acidity.
I really like the smell of this gel, and I often use it to wash my hands, especially after chopping onions or whatever leaves an unpleasant smell on my skin. The gel does a great job of removing all unwanted odors from my skin and doesn't dry out my hands at all.
When you squeeze the gel onto a sponge, it forms a tight, slow-moving droplet.
If you use a lot of gel, about two pump activations, it lathers up really well, producing a generous, soft, and gentle foam, but the scent is somewhat muted. You hardly notice the gel's aroma while washing dishes.
However, if you use a small amount of gel, about half a pump activation, the foam is very weak and settles quickly, so you need to reapply the gel to the sponge.
I have to say, this dish gel cleans really well. I didn't expect it to do such a great job on grease and heavy pots and pans. The only thing is, it uses a bit more of the product on greasy dishes than my usual go-to cleanser.
When I use other gels, one pump is usually enough to get the job done, but with this one, I find myself having to pump it twice and still scrub a bit harder to get the job done. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to keep in mind.
The good news is that it does a great job on plates and bowls, leaving no streaks or residue behind. And the best part is, the smell doesn't linger on the dishes.
The dishes come out sparkling clean, with no streaks or residue left behind. It's great at removing grease from pots, pans, and plates, whether you're washing them in hot or warm water. I haven't tested it in cold water yet, but I'm curious to see how it performs.
I've also been using this gel to clean veggies and fruits, and it does a fantastic job of removing any dirt or debris without leaving any lingering flavors or smells.
I have to say, I'm really pleased with this dish gel, especially the bottle itself, which is why I ended up buying it in the first place. The gel does a great job of cleaning dishes, and it's safe to use, gentle on my skin, and doesn't dry it out. It's not a moisturizer, but it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or uncomfortable either.
I've found that this gel soap is effective at tackling tough grime and grease, even on pots and pans - it gets the job done on the first try. However, the lather is a bit weak, so I need to reapply it to a sponge to get everything clean. This does make the product a bit more expensive to use in the long run.
The scent is lovely, delicate, and fresh. What's more, it leaves no lingering aroma on dishes or skin, but it's great at removing onion or fish odors from my hands with just one wash.
I've even started using it just to give my hands a good clean-up, to get rid of all the grease and yucky smells.
One thing I really like is that it leaves no streaks or residue on dishes - it's completely gone.
Now, I do find it a bit of a hassle to keep track of how much gel is left in the bottle - I have to lift it up and shake it to see how much is remaining.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with this product, despite its high usage rate and weak lather. I'd definitely buy it again, and not just because of the bottle design, which I really like.
This soap does a great job of cleaning dishes, it's safe to use, smells nice, and doesn't dry out my skin.
If you're in the market for a dish soap that's easy to use, has a great dispenser, and really gets the job done, then this one's worth checking out.
