Ecolatier Oily Skin Cleansing Water with Matcha and Bamboo

I've got combination skin, and I'm always on the lookout for a cleanser that won't dry out my face or leave it feeling greasy. Ecolatier's Oily Skin Cleansing Water is a total lifesaver - it's gentle, effective, and won't clog my pores. The matcha and bamboo infusion help balance my skin's natural oils, leaving me with a refreshed and clean complexion. Plus, it's super easy to use, making it perfect for daily skincare routines. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I can already see the difference. My skin looks clearer, and I don't get that oily feeling throughout the day.

A Budget-Friendly Skincare Option That Didn't Quite Work for Me

summarizeEditor's Summary

I was stoked to try Ecolatier's oily skin micellar water, but unfortunately, it didn't quite cut it for me. As someone with combination skin, I'm always on the lookout for products that won't leave me feeling greasy or dry. This one had some nice qualities, but the burning sensation in my eyes was a major turnoff. I'm still searching for the perfect budget-friendly skincare solution. In this review, I'll share my honest thoughts on Ecolatier's Green Tea and Bamboo micellar water. I was excited to try this affordable option, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The micellar water is a gentle, non-foaming cleanser infused with green tea and bamboo extracts to help balance and soothe oily skin. Unfortunately, it caused a burning sensation in my eyes, which was a major deal-breaker for me. I'm always on the lookout for products that are easy to find and won't break the bank, but this one didn't quite fit the bill. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect budget-friendly skincare solution that won't leave me feeling greasy or dry.

A Budget-Friendly Skincare Option That Didn't Quite Work for Me
Hello, friends!
I was on the hunt for a good skincare product and stumbled upon a budget-friendly option - Ecolatier oily skin for oily skin "Green Tea and Bamboo" micellar water. I thought I'd give it a shot, but it wasn't perfect. I'll share my experience in this review.
Brand: Ecolatier, Russia.
Volume: 400 ml.
Price: 250 rubles.
Where to buy: Wildberries.
I'm 35, and my skin tends to get dry in winter, normal in summer, and can even get a bit oily. I've got age-related changes, and while I'm not too worried about wrinkles, I'd love to work on my sagging skin and dull complexion.
From the manufacturer, I was impressed with the micellar water's gentle yet effective makeup-removing power. It's designed to remove makeup and impurities from my face and neck without stripping my skin of its natural oils. The natural ingredients in this micellar water not only cleanse my skin but also moisturize and nourish it, leaving it feeling soft and supple.
The Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract deeply cleanses, smooths out my skin texture, and tones my complexion. It's a powerful antioxidant that protects my skin cells from environmental stressors. The Phyllostachys Bambusoides Leaf Extract helps restore elasticity to my skin, giving it a more youthful appearance. It also slows down the aging process, has antioxidant and regenerative properties, and soothes and moisturizes my skin.
The micellar water comes in a sturdy 400ml bottle with a transparent plastic body and a flip-top cap. The opening is decently sized, but it's easy to control the amount of water dispensed onto a cotton pad. It's a convenient and hygienic way to remove my makeup and impurities.
I've got to say, the liquid is super smooth and consistent. It's got no sediment at all, and it's completely clear. When you shake it up, it gets a bit foamy, but that's about it.
The smell of this stuff is pretty meh. It's not bad, but it's not exactly memorable either. It's just a basic, straightforward scent that doesn't really linger after you've washed it off.
I found that this water lasted me for ages, mainly because I had to switch to something else after a while. The usage rate is pretty standard, and I'd say a full bottle would last me at least 3-4 months with regular use.
I've got a bit of a routine going on when it comes to using this water. I start by cleaning my face in two stages - first with the micellar water, and then with a cream-based cleanser. In the morning, I wash my face with a gel with birch tar. I apply the micellar water using a cotton pad, getting it nice and damp but not soaking wet. Then I place the pad on my eyes for a few seconds, move it to my face, and finally go back to my eyes and brows. It takes me around 1-2 minutes to do the whole thing.
I was really pleased with how comfortable this product felt on my skin - it didn't irritate me at all. It does a great job of removing my regular makeup, and it even takes off waterproof mascara and eyebrow pencil without leaving any residue under my eyes.
After washing my face, I can honestly say my skin isn't dry and tight. I still need to use a toner and moisturizer, but for my skin, this water is stability, even when I just use water without cleansers.
Now, let's talk about what I mentioned in the title. I used the water for about a month, alternating it with my other favorite micellar water just because they were in different showers on different floors. My favorite one ran out, and I switched to this one. After a couple of weeks of regular use, I noticed my mucous membranes were more irritated. In the evening, I'd wash my face, and in the morning, I'd have discharge in my eyes. I wear contacts, so I'm not too bothered by foreign objects in my eyes. Occasionally, a stray eyelash would get stuck under my lower lash line, and it'd only come out in the morning.
So, at first, I didn't think much of the discharge, especially since it was already springtime and there was more dust flying around. But then I started feeling irritation during micellar water application, and I realized where the problem was coming from. I put the product on hold and bought a tried-and-true one. The water sat around for a couple of weeks, and my eyes recovered quickly. I brought it back to its usual occasional use. I ended up using it to clean some clothes with stubborn toner stains and to get my white shoes spotless – it performed as expected.
I wouldn't recommend micellar water Ecolatier oily skin for oily skin "Chai matcha and bamboo", although I was able to use it until the end. This product just wasn't suitable for my skin. That being said, I don't rule out the possibility that this 'allergy' is just my reaction, which doesn't affect others. On the plus side, I can mention its budget-friendly price and wide availability in stores.
