- My instructor for the practical lessons was consistently late, showing up 10-15 minutes behind schedule.
- During practical lessons, my instructor was often distracted and would be chatting on the phone, texting, or eating.

- On the first lesson, my instructor mentioned the cost of 'passing' the driving exam through him and implied it was the only way to go.
- He even tried to sell me additional services, which felt like a big turn-off.

I signed up for driving lessons at Svetofor because their location near my house made it super convenient.
The basic course I chose came with a promise of no extra fees beyond what was agreed upon - a common complaint I'd read about, but I trusted the administrator.
The online theory lessons were top-notch, thanks to a professional instructor who broke down the material in a way that was easy to grasp. He answered all my questions and helped me pass the theory test with flying colors.
Unfortunately, the practical lessons were a different story altogether. My instructor was consistently late, showing up 10-15 minutes behind schedule. And when we were supposed to be driving, he'd be distracted - chatting on the phone, texting, or just eating. It felt like I was on my own most of the time.
Lessons were supposed to last 45 minutes, but he'd claim that was 1.5 hours of 'academic time'. Let's just say I didn't feel like I was getting the most out of my time or money.
On the first lesson, he mentioned the cost of 'passing' the driving exam through him, and implied it was the only way to go. He even tried to sell me on additional lessons, which didn't sit well with me.
In the end, I found a private instructor on Avito and paid a bit extra for the privilege of actually learning.
The school also charges you to take the driving exam, and it's not uncommon for people to fail on their first try. If you do need to retake, be prepared to pay another 3,500 rubles. But honestly, they'll just make you take it again without providing any extra support. And for the theory exam, you'll also have to shell out 3,500 rubles - that includes 15 minutes of computer time, I guess.
So, if you've got a choice, take your driving lessons somewhere else. The only decent part of my experience at Svetofor was the theory lessons. The practical lessons were a total waste of time and money, unfortunately.
