I've been wearing contact lenses for a long time - 18 years have passed since I first bought them. I've tried countless cleaning and storage solutions over the years, but I've stuck with one brand that meets all my requirements. Or at least, it did until recently.
I've been using ReNu MultiPlus for the past 5 years, and it's been a reliable choice for me. Sure, there have been times when I noticed some dirt left on my lenses, and they felt a bit stiff after sitting in the solution for a few days. But I blamed that on my own cleaning habits, thinking I hadn't done a great job of cleaning them before storing them in a container. And the stiffness was probably due to the fact that I'd been wearing the same lenses for a month, which is the longest I like to go without replacing them.
Anyway, my lenses started to cause me some minor discomfort, but I didn't suspect the solution was the culprit.
When it was time to buy a new bottle of solution, I checked out the website of the pharmacy near my home, Vita. The ReNu MultiPlus solution was priced at full price, while a similar solution with a different name was on sale for a bit cheaper, even though they had the same volume.
So, I decided to try the new ReNu Advanced solution, which cost me 497 rubles. Normally, it retails for 670 rubles. I bought it in early July, and as of now, I still have about half a bottle left.
At first glance, ReNu MultiPlus and ReNu Advanced look pretty similar — same bottles, same clear liquid, just different names and a few extra features.
