A Shower Game-Changer

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm a shower fanatic, and I've never been a fan of lounging in the tub because of the blood pressure spike that always follows. To keep my skin in check, I've relied on scrubs, but they can be a pain – especially when it comes to getting rid of coffee and sugar particles. I've tried a few different loofahs, but most of them don't last long. The Kessa loofah has been a game-changer for me, though – it's gentle on my skin, yet effective at removing dead skin cells, and it's easy to clean and maintain.

I'm not exactly a fan of lounging in the tub, but I do love a good shower. In fact, I'm a bit of a shower aficionado. And, as for baths, I'm afraid I have to give them a hard pass due to the pesky blood pressure spike that always seems to follow.
So, I've been relying on scrubs to keep my skin in check. But, let's be real, using scrubs can be a bit of a pain – especially when it comes to getting rid of those pesky coffee and sugar particles that always seem to linger on my skin and the shower floor.
Needless to say, exfoliating is a must, especially with all the moisturizers and body lotions I use on a daily basis. And, let's not forget about the pesky residue that's always left behind.
That's why I've taken to using loofahs, like the ones from Kessa.
I've tried out a few different options, but, sadly, most of them don't last very long – except for my trusty Turkish loofah, of course!
My stash, and that's not even all of them! Then, I stumbled upon the DE.CO. loofah from Kessa at my local supermarket.
Meet the Kessa loofah – a game-changer for your shower routine!
Kessa loofah by DE.CO.I snagged it during a sale for a steal – around 160 rubles or so. Wish I'd grabbed it sooner, because now I've got to pay full price – 229 rubles to be exact.
Kessa loofah by DE.CO.Anyway, I gave it a shot, and I'm so glad I did!
For those who may be new to Kessa or unsure about how to use it, let me give you the lowdown:
1. The Kesse gloves are special mitts for exfoliating the skin, originally used in a traditional Turkish bath, or hamam. They're made from natural fibers that are twisted in a way that enhances the intense and deep exfoliating effect. Don't use them with any cleansers, as the exfoliating effect will be reduced.
2. Before using, you need to thoroughly steam your skin, then rub the entire body with the Kesse gloves, and only after that, wash with a gel or soap. After the procedure, rinse your skin with water, and your skin will feel amazing.

DE.CO. Body Mitt for ExfoliatingPackaging is recognizable from this brand from "Podruchki" in a sachet format with a transparent window, so you can see what you're buying.
Special cuts make it easy to open the package without scissors.
DE.CO. Body Mitt for ExfoliatingAnd what do I see? Not a flimsy glove that quickly falls apart due to seams coming undone or holes forming near them. It's a well-stitched and reinforced glove with a special elastic band and a dense fabric backing without any loose ends.
The underside of this thing is seriously well thought out. I'm blown away by how much detail has gone into this.
The wrist strap is made of some kind of synthetic fabric that's super comfortable to wear, and the scrubbing pad is just the right size for my hands.
The wrist strap is a game-changer. It doesn't slip around when you're using it, and the best part is that my nails don't tear through the fabric.
Let's take a closer look at the build quality:
The stitching and fabric treatment are top-notch. There's a little loop on the back for hanging it up to dry, which is super convenient. I washed the thing, wrung it out, and hung it up to air dry.
The loop on the back is genius. This thing is essentially a 2-in-1 deal - the peach-colored side is the same scrubbing material they use for those Kessa gloves on the left in the pic.
Fabric texture Exfoliating side of the gloveI love the gentler side of the glove, which is a lovely milky color - it's perfect for washing the rest of my body with a foamy cleanser. And the best part is, it's easy to wipe away the little fabric scraps that get caught on my skin when I'm putting it on.
It's also great for washing off face masks.
Wash sideThe inside of the glove is flawless - no loose threads anywhere:
Inside of the gloveAnd the sides? They look amazing!

Side seams of the insideOutside:
Seams and edge treatment of the glove5. Using it on my body is an absolute breeze - it's so comfortable! I don't even need to exfoliate beforehand, which is a bonus for me since I'm not a fan of the heat. It's amazing at removing dead skin cells! If I'd collected all the little fabric scraps, I'd say it's like a mini-spa treatment for my skin. Okay, maybe not - but it's definitely a lot of fun!
The effect it has In action [I'm only showing it off a bit] The effect it has The effect it has6. It's crazy how well it works as a massager and anti-cellulite treatment - it really gets the blood flowing and tones the skin all over your body.
7. My skin is so smooth now! I'm totally sold.
8. The exfoliating part is gentle and not harsh at all. You just need to use some common sense and be careful not to scrub too hard.
I use it once a week and I'm always amazed by how many dead skin cells it picks up. I guess it's not just the product itself, but also all the layers of body lotion that get built up on your skin.
Ingredients:
cotton, polyester.
Storage recommendations? Definitely not in a humid place like a bathroom, but somewhere well-ventilated. And you only need to use it for 3 months. I disagree - I've gotten so much use out of it!
I'd definitely recommend stocking up before they're all gone from the shelves.
And who wouldn't want this as a gift? Not me, that's for sure. Treat your friends and family to this amazing product - the quality of the stitching and construction is top-notch, and I have something to compare it to.
P.S. Before the first use, it's pretty obvious that you need to stretch out the loofah-hand thingy.
Thanks for reading and taking the time to understand my review!
