Lemon and Orange Dish Soap Qualita

I've tried a bunch of dish soaps, but this one's a total standout. It's super gentle on my hands, yet still manages to leave my dishes sparkling clean. The citrus scent is a nice bonus - it's actually really refreshing and makes the whole process more enjoyable. Plus, it's a great value for money. I've been using it for everyday cleaning and it's been a game-changer. No harsh chemicals or residue to worry about, either.

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been using Qualita Lemon & Orange dish soap for a while now, and while it's a solid choice for a budget-friendly option, the strong smell is a major drawback. The good news is that it's easy to use, and the bottle is convenient. However, I've found that the smell lingers on my hands, and it's not exactly the most pleasant experience. Despite this, I'm still a fan of the soap itself, and I think it's worth considering if you're looking for a budget-friendly option. One thing to note is that it's a good option for families with kids, and the packaging is minimal and eco-friendly. But if you have sensitive skin, you may want to consider a different option or look for a fragrance-free version. Overall, it's a decent choice, but the smell is a deal-breaker for me.

Qualita Lemon & Orange Dish Soap Review
I've always found washing dishes to be a bit of a pain point in families, but I'm not really sure why. I mean, it's not like I love doing it or anything. Okay, fine - I sort of enjoy washing dishes. Sort of.
Okay, no dramatics.
I only talk about budget-friendly options, and I'm not one for expensive stuff. So, let's get into it - I'm reviewing Qualita Lemon & Orange dish soap today.
My photo's a bit worn out, but it's been used up to about halfway, and at the time of writing, even less. Maybe that's a good thing - it's clear I'm actually using the stuff.
One thing I want to mention right off the bat is that I'm a fan of Qualita Lemon & Orange dish soap. It's a solid choice for a budget-friendly option, and I've been using it for a while now. However, there is one major drawback that keeps me from giving it a full recommendation.
Let's start with the good stuff. The bottle is convenient, and I'd give it a plus to the soap because I didn't have to transfer it to another container - I used it straight from the original packaging. It's not too big, takes up minimal space near the sink, and the dispenser works fine. The only thing is that it's hard to get the last bit of soap out of the bottle - about a centimeter remains.
The amount of gel dispensed by the dosator with one press is roughly a teaspoon.
One of the things I like about Qualita Lemon & Orange dish soap is its consistency. The gel isn't runny, which is a nice change from the cheapest dish soaps on the market. Some people suggest diluting the gel with water to make it go further, but that only works if the gel is labeled as a 'concentrate'. I don't dilute the gels I buy from supermarkets, it'd just make the foam too thin.
Foam creation on a regular sponge is decent and the foam comes out thick and sturdy. That's exactly what you get from one dose of gel, as you can see in the photo above.
The foam doesn't melt away too quickly when washing non-greasy dishes. I usually wash dishes in warm water - rinse, apply some soap, then rinse again. So, the dishes sit in the foam for a bit. That's ideal, but sometimes conditions get tougher and I need a soap that can handle cold water and a lot of grease. Well, Qualita Lemon & Orange dish soap does a great job and the only downside is that it uses a bit more soap.
To wash a big load like this, I needed three doses of this gel. That's a moderate usage, nothing special, and on par with other soaps in the same price range.
One thing I've heard about Qualita Lemon & Orange dish soap is that it's great at cleaning dishes, even in cold water and with really greasy stuff. And I have to say, I've found that to be true. It's easy to rinse off, without leaving any residue or smell behind.
However, there is one major drawback that keeps me from giving it a full recommendation. The smell. It's not pleasant - it's got a bitter, almost medicinal quality to it, like some kind of ointment or something. I really don't like it, and it doesn't exactly motivate me to wash dishes. Although by the end of the bottle, I'd kind of gotten used to it, but that's precisely why I won't be buying this dish soap again.
Despite all the other good qualities it has, I have to say that the smell is a major turn-off.
On the plus side:
The bottle has a convenient design with a good dispenser. It produces a lot of foam, which doesn't settle quickly. It's great at cleaning dishes, even in cold water and with really greasy stuff. It's easy to rinse off, without leaving any residue or smell behind. It's a moderate user, although that depends on how much dirty dishes you have and how greasy they are. For a family of three, this bottle lasted us about a month. On the downside:
The smell is just really unpleasant, with a bitter quality that makes me not want to use it.If it weren't for the smell, this dish soap could definitely give some of the more expensive brands a run for their money. But what you get is what you get, and I don't think I'll be seeing this one again.
I'd only recommend it to people who don't mind the smell, and citrus lovers might not like it either.
