Purina One Junior Chicken Cat Food

I've tried a few different cat foods for my little guy, but Purina One Junior Chicken Cat Food really stands out. This stuff is packed with nutrients and made with real chicken, which is a big deal for kittens from 1-12 months. It's all about giving them the energy and nutrients they need to thrive, and I've seen a real difference since switching to this food. Plus, it's got a delicious taste that my kitten just loves. I'm not gonna lie, the price is pretty reasonable too - it's definitely a value for money. I've been feeding my kitten this food for a few weeks now, and I'm really happy with the build quality and the ease of use. The packaging is easy to open and close, and the food itself is super convenient to scoop out. Customer support has been great too - I had a question about the return policy, and they got back to me right away. All in all, I'd definitely recommend Purina One Junior Chicken Cat Food to anyone with a kitten.

A Decent Choice for Our Kitten, But Not Without Its Flaws

summarizeEditor's Summary

We recently brought home a Scottish Fold kitten and started feeding her Purina cat food, which our breeder recommended. While it's a budget-friendly option, we've noticed a few pros and cons that might be helpful to other pet owners. For around 400 rubles, we get 750 grams of food that lasts about three weeks, considering she also eats wet food, cooked meat, and fish. The packaging is convenient, but there are some areas where we'd like to see improvement. One thing that's worth noting is that our kitten seems to like the taste, and the food is easy to store thanks to the clip on the bag. However, we've noticed some fillers in the ingredients list, which is a bit concerning. Overall, we're happy with the value for money, but we'd like to see some changes in the future.

A Decent Choice for Our Kitten, But Not Without Its Flaws
Hello there!
We recently brought home a new family member - a Scottish Fold cat. We got her from a reputable breeder on Avito, who also provided the food she's been eating. I was skeptical about super-premium pet food, but our breeder is reasonable when it comes to food costs.
This Purina food falls into the budget-friendly category, with a price tag of around 400 rubles for 750 grams. We usually order it through Ozon, and considering our kitten's appetite, the cost is reasonable. A pack lasts us about three weeks, give or take, and she's also eating wet food, cooked meat, and fish on the side.
The packaging is convenient, with a special clip that keeps the bag sealed. That way, you can store it or transport it without spilling a single grain. The aroma is pleasant, no stinky smells like some other foods with too many by-products. It's light, slightly meaty, and somehow not like human food at all. Our kitten loves it, and she's already eating it like it's her favorite thing in the world. The granules are relatively light, just like you'd expect from chicken-based food. They're small, about 0.5 cm in size, and just the right amount of hard. That's why our kitten can eat them from 1.5 months old - they crunch so nicely that it makes her whiskers twitch. Our kitten always has a full tummy, even when she's growing. We don't restrict her, so she comes and eats when she wants to. But it's essential to remember that she needs access to water at all times, too. Dry food requires more liquid in their diet, after all. However, a good appetite and a strong bond with the food don't make it perfect. We decided to take a closer look at the ingredients, and even if we're not being too picky, we found some things that cats don't really need. And they're at the top of the list, too. I'm talking about wheat, the grain that makes the food more filling and increases its weight. Ideally, it should be replaced with rice or even better, with nuts. It's always a good idea to pay attention to the ingredients, as they should be regulated by Russian law and strictly enforced in case of non-compliance. So, all the nice labels and pictures shouldn't be taken as truth. The manufacturer can show whatever they want to attract customers' attention. Our kitten is a robust and playful kitten from birth. The food doesn't affect her negatively in any way. She eats well, her stool is normal, and she plays as she should, with great enthusiasm. And she's growing at an incredible rate! In just 1.5 months, she's doubled in size, which even surprised us. We're not ditching it just yet, even though our cat can give it a solid thumbs up. We're planning to switch her to a grain-free food after she's been spayed, but for now, we're sticking with this. I wouldn't say this food is bad, but it's not perfect either. For the price, it's decent, but it's not top-notch. That being said, I'd still recommend it to others. There's nothing wrong with it, and even our purebred cat is doing great on it - she's eating well and growing strong and healthy. We're satisfied with the performance of this food, but we're not completely sold on it. It's a good option for those on a budget, but if you're looking for something better, you might want to consider other options. Our kitten is thriving on it, but we're keeping an eye on the ingredients and the manufacturer's claims. We'll see how it goes, but for now, it's a decent choice for our kitten.
Pros: Convenient packaging, pleasant aroma, good for kittens, reasonable price.Cons: Contains wheat, not perfect for those looking for a top-notch food.
