I totally get it - those perpetually on a diet and always trying to resist the temptation of a midnight snack will understand how hard it is to resist the urge to devour something, preferably something super unhealthy, just before bed. It's not even hunger, it's just this nagging craving in your head.
I've been fighting this craving, trying to eat a proper dinner with a normal portion and some protein to prevent late-night hunger pangs. But still... And that's when I found a way to overcome this awful nocturnal snacking urge. I drink a big cup of warm tea with peppermint, of course, without sugar.
Finding a tasty and high-quality peppermint tea without that artificial aftertaste is not as easy as it sounds. But I did find one, and in an interesting, non-traditional stick form, no less.

Cost for a pack of 15 sticks is around 200 rubles.I bought them at the checkout in a supermarket, one or two sticks at a time, to try them out. I did the same - I bought 2 sticks on a whim, liked them, and then, once I understood I liked them and they suited me, I bought a whole pack.

In addition to green tea and peppermint, there's also a food flavoring agent - peppermint. That did raise some concerns, but I didn't taste any chemical aftertaste.

And now, the most interesting part....

I love that the tea infuser is made from a thick foil with lots of holes in it. It's like brewing tea through a tea strainer, but so much easier. No need to mess around with spilling loose tea leaves afterwards. Just pop the infuser into a cup of boiling water and you're good to go!
Occasionally, I'll even drink the tea with the infuser still in the cup. It doesn't bother me at all, and it's not too harsh on the eyes.
