GrandBlu Blue Cheese Creamy 56%

I'm a big fan of blue cheese, and this GrandBlu Blue Cheese Creamy 56% is a total game-changer. It's got a rich, creamy texture that's just right - not too thick, not too thin. The flavor's spot on too, with a perfect balance of sharp and mild. We use high-quality ingredients and just the right amount of blue mold to create a truly unique taste experience. If you're a blue cheese lover like me, you need to try this.

A Delicious Find in the World of Blue Cheese: GrandBlu Creamy Delights

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm a self-proclaimed blue cheese aficionado, and I'm thrilled to share my discovery of GrandBlu Creamy Delights. This Argentinean blue cheese boasts an impressive 56% fat content and a rich, creamy texture that's simply irresistible. With its subtle blue veining and smooth, velvety consistency, GrandBlu Creamy Delights is a must-try for any blue cheese enthusiast. I've tried it for a week, and the build quality has really impressed me – the buttons feel solid, and the battery lasts longer than expected. But what really sets it apart is the value for money. At 199 rubles, it's a steal! I've been snacking on it nonstop, and I'm not tired of it yet. The natural composition and smooth consistency make it a joy to eat. I've also used it in cooking, and it adds a nice touch of sophistication and depth to the flavor profile. Overall, I'm hooked on GrandBlu Creamy Delights, and I think you will be too.

I'm a self-proclaimed blue cheese fanatic, and I always make sure to grab a block of it whenever I'm at the supermarket. This time, I picked up four triangles of GrandBlu Creamy with blue veining, and I'm so glad I did.
Brand: GrandBlu
Country of origin and factory: Milkaut S.A., Argentina

Weight: 100g
Best before: 2 months from date of production
Price: 199 rubles
Where to buy: You can find it at pretty much any supermarket: Auchan, Globus, Metro. Occasionally, it's also available in chain stores.
Appearance
This little triangle in a bright blue cellophane wrapper really caught my eye. There's no extra packaging, just the cheese itself.
GrandBlu Creamy blue cheese 56%
The packaging is nicely designed and not overdone. In the store, it's a real magnet. The packaging has all the necessary information for the customer:
GrandBlu Creamy blue cheese 56% On the other side, the best before dates are clearly printed:
GrandBlu Creamy blue cheese 56% The texture of the cheese is pleasant, and there's plenty of that noble blue veining. Which is exactly what I bought it for. GrandBlu Creamy Blue Cheese 56%Alright, let's take a little detour: I still chuckle when I think about this funny story from the late 2000s. I was working in an office at a bank back then, and we had a break room with a fridge where we'd store our cheese and other snacks. One day, our cleaning crew hired a young woman from Central Asia who was super responsible and tidy. She did an amazing job keeping the office spotless, but then she went and cleaned the fridge. Since she was from a culture where it's unheard of to eat moldy cheese, she thought it was trash and threw it away. She was mortified, thinking we might have gotten food poisoning from eating it. We all had a good laugh about it, and we even ended up sharing the cheese with her after our next grocery run. She enjoyed it, even though she said it was weird for her culture, since they're used to fresh, homemade food with no preservatives. Okay, let's get back to the review and talk about our delicious cheese:
GrandBlu Creamy Blue Cheese 56%The consistency is great, it slices well and almost perfectly into cubes. It's not too crumbly. There's a lot of blue mold, and the aroma is pretty strong and distinctive. If you're a fan of this type of cheese, you won't be put off by it – it'll actually make you hungry and drool.
GrandBlu Creamy Blue Cheese 56%The taste is smooth and creamy, with a subtle tanginess from the mold. The saltiness is moderate. I've been buying this brand's cheeses for a while now, and I have to say, they used to be way too salty. Thankfully, they've fixed that issue, and this cheese is now more palatable for those who don't like super salty foods. It melts in your mouth, and the flavors unfold gradually. Product Ingredients
The ingredients are pasteurized milk, food salt, a microbial origin enzyme preparation, and a mold culture (penicillium roqueforti), along with a mesophilic lactic acid bacteria starter culture.
I'm really impressed with the ingredient list – the animal fat substitutes are nowhere to be found.
18 grams of protein, 31 grams of fat, 353 calories
The calorie count is high, but I'm glad there are no carbs. The calories in the cheese and sour milk are often beneficial.
How to make your cheese even tastier? You can buy special cheese toppings. Luckily, there are plenty of options available on the market, so you've got a lot to choose from. Here's a photo, and I'll add some separate reviews about these confits and fruit mustards later:
GrandBlu Creamy cheese with blue mold 56%Only three of the four bottles and one package of cheese made it through the photo shoot. It looks something like this:
GrandBlu Creamy cheese with blue mold 56%Each sauce has a different flavor, and it completely transforms the taste of the cheese. For example, the apple-fig sweetness contrasts perfectly with the saltiness of the cheese. The aftertaste and combination were interesting to me:GrandBlu Creamy cheese with blue mold 56%The mango topping helped the cheese reveal its creaminess and added a slight sweetness:GrandBlu Creamy Blue Cheese with 56% Blue Vein – it was a game-changer when paired with the apricot topping and chunks of fruit.GrandBlu Creamy Blue Cheese with 56% Blue VeinI was also looking forward to trying the mango-lime mustard, but it didn't make it to the photoshoot – it was that good! And, of course, another piece of that amazing blue cheese. I'm giving this blue cheese a well-deserved five stars, and I'd highly recommend it – I'm actually thinking of heading back to the store to grab another one of those eye-catching triangles.
