A Repeat Buyer's Review: Why I Stick with Pemolux

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been using Pemolux cleaning powder for a while now, and it's been a total game-changer for my cleaning routine. The new Soda 7 version is just as impressive as its predecessor, the Soda 5. I've tried a bunch of alternatives, but nothing comes close to its cleaning power without damaging surfaces. For me, there's no budget-friendly option that matches its performance. I've used it for a week now, and I'm still blown away by its ease of use and effectiveness. The build quality is top-notch, and the battery life is surprisingly long-lasting. I love that it's easy to use and doesn't leave any residue behind. It's also super effective at removing grease and grime, and the compact package is a bonus. The value for money is unbeatable, and shipping is fast and reliable. My only concerns are that it's not eco-friendly, so it's not ideal for the environment, and it can be harsh on certain surfaces if not used carefully. Still, it's a small price to pay for a product that works so well.

A Repeat Buyer's Review: Why I Stick with Pemolux
I've been using Pemolux for a while now, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer for my cleaning routine. I've tried a bunch of alternatives, but nothing comes close to its cleaning power without damaging surfaces. For me, there's no budget-friendly option that matches its performance.
I've been using the Pemolux 'Soda 5' for a while now, but the new 'Soda 7 without scratches' has just hit the shelves, and that's what today's review is all about.
The Basics
Where to buy: You can find Pemolux pretty much everywhere that sells household items. It's a super popular product at an affordable price, so most stores stock it.Price: I picked it up at Pyaterochka for 70 rubles without a single kopek, but the 'aroma-free' version costs 10 rubles more.Brand: PemoluxName: Soda 7Fragrance: LemonNet weight: 480 grams
The Product
I've gotta say, the Pemolux Limon Cleaning Powder 480g is a game-changer for keeping my kitchen and bathroom surfaces clean. It's designed with everyday needs in mind, tackling even the toughest stains and leaving a shine. This all-purpose cleaner is perfect for scrubbing sinks, toilets, showers, and countertops - it's a one-stop-shop for all your cleaning needs. The formula is powerful yet safe, containing baking soda and natural ingredients that break down grease, grime, and soap scum, killing bacteria and neutralizing odors, leaving a fresh lemon scent behind. And the best part? It's chlorine-free, making it a safe and eco-friendly choice.
What sets Pemolux apart is its gentle yet effective abrasive that helps remove even the toughest stains without leaving scratches or streaks. This means I can clean my fixtures and surfaces with care, preserving their original look. The convenient lid makes it easy to use and reduces mess when cleaning. If you're looking for a reliable cleaning powder that's perfect for tackling tough messes and cleaning bathroom fixtures, Pemolux Limon is your go-to companion. Its universality and high quality make it a staple in my cleaning arsenal!
Packaging
I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed with the packaging. There's no protection from the first opening, so the packaging can easily get damaged before you even buy it.
The bottle's made of white plastic that can withstand a good squeeze, but I have to say, it's pretty thin, and you can even see the amount of powder inside through the walls when the light hits it. And yeah, the bottle's only half full. The whole circumference is wrapped in a piece of polyethylene with product info, with just the brand, name, and scent on the front.
More detailed info's on the other parts of the packaging. The plastic bottle cover does fade over time when exposed to direct sunlight, and mine's right next to the window, so I get those afternoon sunbeams streaming in. The paint also starts to chip off over time, check out the little streaks on the photo below.
The bottle's got a flip-top lid on top, which is super convenient. I usually leave my dish soap right out on the counter, I don't mess around with closing and opening the lid all the time. Under the lid, there are these little flower-petal shaped holes. When you tip it over, a decent amount comes out, but you get used to controlling the flow over time, and I try not to tip it too far and just let it drizzle out quietly.
Ingredients
> 30% natural ground marble; < 5% amphiphilic surfactants, baking soda, colorant, fragrance (including lemon and citral). This product's made in Russia, and the packaging's recyclable.

Organoleptics
This product has a powdery texture that's really reminiscent of baking soda. When you touch it, it's got a similar consistency to baking soda too. The powder is white and the particles are tiny, almost like finely ground sand.
At first glance, the powder looks absolutely white, with no tiny specks or particles in sight. But when you touch it with water, the powder turns blue. Inside, there are some invisible blue pigment particles that mix with the powder, changing its color. It's pretty magical.
The scent is pleasant, reminiscent of lemon zest.
Application
I always stock up on Pemolux, knowing it won't collect dust, and it's a staple in all our bathrooms and kitchens, so I end up buying it regularly.
I've got a tray next to my kitchen sink, and it's where I stash my liquid soap, hand soap, and dish soap. Pemolux sits right in the middle, but I don't use it as often as I do my liquid soap or dish soap, which are conveniently placed on either side.
While my liquid soap and dish soap get swapped out regularly, Penolux stays put – I can only buy it in different scents or fragrance-free, but that's okay with me.
I've noticed that the metal tray that comes with this product is prone to rust spots. Pemolyuk's powder is a lifesaver when it comes to removing these rust stains from the metal tray. The rust stains disappear in seconds, it's crazy!
Rust is also a problem on my metal sink, which is due for a replacement soon. But I'm holding off on the update until the kitchen renovation is complete. Pemolyuk's powder makes quick work of removing the rusty stains, leaving the surface clean and streak-free.
And let's not forget about the flowers on my windowsill - when the water from the tray spills over, it can leave unsightly brown rings on the plastic. Pemolyuk's powder is a godsend in this situation, as it quickly removes the stains and leaves the surface looking like new.
Aside from the ugly water spots, the windowsill starts to get covered in dry, crusty droplets that Pemolyuk handles just as easily. These water spots, or more accurately, the lime buildup, also start to form on the metal sink, and you can either use special cleaning liquids or scrub them off with Pemolyuk powder.
I mostly use Pemolyuk to clean my coffee mugs, which develop rings from coffee or strong tea, and regular dish soap struggles to get rid of them. And when you mix sugar or honey into your drinks, those stubborn grey streaks from the spoon can be a real pain, and dish soap just can't handle them.
That's where my trusty Pemolyuk comes in, which quickly removes and scrubs away that unsightly buildup. Just be careful with your mug's finish, as the abrasive particles in Pemolyuk can scratch the surface if not used carefully.
I've been using Pemolux to clean my tea and coffee cups, and I've gotta say, it's a total game-changer. The powder is amazing at removing that stubborn brown grime that always seems to get stuck in the crevices of the cups.
I've also used it to clean up burnt-on food and water spills, and it's been a lifesaver. The burnt-on layer comes off easily with Pemolux, and it's way easier than using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
And the best part? Metal surfaces don't get scratched or damaged when you use Pemolux. It's a total win-win.
Comparing Pemolux to Soda 5 and Soda 7 without any scratches
I've still got some old Pemolux stock left, the kind without the 'scratch-free' label, and let me tell you, I wanted to say that there's no difference in the powder structure whatsoever. Both versions have the same fine texture.
You can barely tell the difference in color, because the previous pumice variant had a blue-ish tint to the powder, whereas the new one has a white tint. Other than that, there's no difference in terms of grind, cleaning, or scent.
The Verdict
I can confidently say that there's no analog or replacement for this product over the past decade, and I don't even want to switch to something else. This is the perfect product that doesn't need to be replaced. I don't want to experiment by buying something new for myself, it's a product that has proven itself to every generation living today. If you haven't bought something like this yet, I highly recommend it.
I know some people use regular baking soda as a substitute, but I somehow want to stick with this product.
I've got to say, I prefer having a separate product for cleaning the windowsill with chemicals, not food products.
