Hello everyone!

I first got hooked on Dom-2 back in 2008, but I'm not even sure why I bought it – I wasn't watching the show at the time, but I knew it was popular. Then there was a big gap, and my next purchase was in April 2011.

Those were the days when the internet was still in its early stages, and getting online was a real pain – I had to rely on dial-up. But I loved browsing through magazines and newspapers, and Dom-2 was one of my favorites. I'd buy it every month, and it was always a treat.

But then, one day, I stumbled upon a copy of Dom-2 in a bookstore, and I was hooked. I'd get so frustrated when they were out of stock – whoever managed to get their hands on it was the lucky one.

My peak interest in the show was between 2011 and 2013. I didn't watch every episode, and I didn't have all the issues, but I loved following the drama and romance.

Dom-2 was a monthly release, and it was super popular – I'm not sure when it finally ended, but I think it was still going strong until 2020. I've got a copy from 2019, and it's clear that the show had started to lose some steam.

The price back then was around 100-150 rubles.

A bit about the show:

Dom-2 is a Russian reality TV show that's all about finding love and building relationships between young people. It's been on the air for over 15 years, making it the longest-running show of its kind. The contestants live together, trying to find love and build a life, but it's not all smooth sailing – there are plenty of scandals, drama, and romance to go around.

I have to admit, I'm having trouble remembering who my favorite contestants were. Dasha and Sergei Pynzar were definitely up there, as well as Eugenia Feofilaktova and Sasha Zadornov. And then there was Marina Afrikantova – she was pretty great too.

Now, let's take a look at the magazine covers and check out some of the interesting articles:

First up, we've got the July 2008 issue, featuring Alena Vodonova on the cover. Some of the interesting sections include 'Personal', 'Top 10', 'Interview', and 'Test'. This issue had a gorgeous Dasha Pynzar on the cover.

The next issue I got was in April 2011, featuring Venceslav on the cover. By this time, they'd added some new sections. The June 2011 issue had the Kolisnichenko sisters on the cover, followed by the July 2011 issue with Ilya and Olya, and then the August 2011 issue with Eugenia Feofilaktova.

Then we've got November and December 2011, January 2012, and April 2012.

From the latest magazines, this is November 2017, May and December 2018, and January 2019. The magazine has gotten a bit thinner, the pages too, in the old issues it was 100 pages, but for 2017-2019 it's 66 pages.

There's also two special edition magazines, they were released on the project's anniversary.

I found the magazine really interesting, especially at the time of release, and even now re-reading some of the sections, it's really nostalgic.
