My MissZAR Nano Scraper Experience: A Mixed Bag
I work at a pharmacy, and I've noticed a lot of customers picking up Nano scrubbers. They're ridiculously cheap, and the design is stunning. I decided to treat myself to one, thinking it might be another gimmick, but I was curious. Plus, I read a review that caught my attention, and now it's mine.
Just look at how beautiful it is. It's shaped like a Tangle comb, but it's so shiny that it's hard to take a photo without getting your reflection in it.
I bought the MissZAR Nano foot and heel scrubber for 160 rubles from Wildberries.
The scrubber comes in a box with an extra bag. However, my box was all scrunched up and taped with scotch tape. I sorted it out and fixed it. There's hardly any information on the box, and no Russian text at all. But there are pictures, and they confirm that you can use it to remove hair and get rid of rough skin on your heels.
On top, it's all shiny and smooth, which is nice, but it's not super practical. My hand sometimes slips. On the back, it's a real scrubber with little bumps, like fine-grit sandpaper.
I've got dry, rough skin with hyperkeratosis, and I've mentioned it in reviews for various products before. My heels need constant care. Lately, I've been doing either a pedicure or using a pumice stone after foot baths, and of course, creams, waxes, socks, and silicone nail stickers.
The Nano Pedi file seemed strange to me. I worked on dry skin, as I'd read in reviews for the Velvet Brush. The dead skin cells fell off, but the file quickly got clogged with them. I thought I'd need to rinse it during the process, but no, it worked until the end.
At first, the results didn't impress me. My heels looked weird, all white. But after rinsing them, drying, and applying cream, I was surprised. They're soft, pink, and gentle, like a piglet's heels.
I liked that I didn't need to pre-soak my skin. It's an express pedicure. I won't say I'll only use this Nano Pedi file from now on. I still prefer the electric pedicure, but it's not always feasible. This option saves time, though.
I grew out my leg hair for a week to test the Nano Pedi file. I was skeptical about its effectiveness, and I wasn't wrong. It does remove hair, but you need to scrape it off. And it only works well on smooth surfaces. I treated a part of my shin, and the result is in the collage.
The file did remove the hair, but the process isn't quick, and it's not suitable for all areas. And the aftermath? My legs started itching like crazy. If you've ever had a dry skin treatment with a dry razor, you know what I'm talking about, but this is even worse. The file scrapes your skin. I got a terrible itch, and I rushed to rinse my legs with cold water, apply some Pantol cream. And then I saw the redness, especially where I had keratosis pilaris. The file just stripped it away.
I've got to say, the two lower photos in that collage are my knees. It's impossible to get rid of the hair with this thing because of the rough surface. But it did get rid of the dead skin. I'll never use this thing to remove hair again.
The deal-breakers for me are intense itching, irritation, a long process, and only working on smooth surfaces.
Even after applying cream, my legs itched. The next day I wore leggings and forgot about my knees. Today I wore skinny jeans and felt those unpleasant sensations on the back of my legs where the irritation was worst. I rubbed the affected areas with my jeans again.
Unfortunately, the Nano scraper from MissZAR really let me down. It's like sandpaper – it just scrapes off the hair along with the skin. And if there are bumps from ingrown hairs or dry patches, it'll make things worse, like it did for me. I couldn't remove all the hair with this thing. And because of the irritation, I'm not even able to shave now, I'm waiting for it to clear up completely. I haven't shaved in a week, so there are some pretty long patches now. And it's a real sight. I'll check on my skin again tomorrow. For now, I'm just applying cream.
I've got to give it to the MissZAR Nano scraper – it's a great tool for a quick pedicure without soaking your feet. It doesn't wear off like a pumice stone, and it does a great job of removing rough skin. But I'll never use it to remove hair again.
I'm not sure about the rating, but I'll give it four stars. And I only recommend it for pedicures.
Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with the MissZAR Nano scraper. While it's a great tool for removing rough skin, it's not suitable for removing hair. The process is long, and it causes intense itching and irritation. I'll stick to my electric pedicure for now, but I'll keep the Nano scraper for quick pedicures.
Rating: 4/5 stars
I would recommend the MissZAR Nano scraper to anyone who needs a quick and easy pedicure. It's a great tool for removing rough skin, and it's easy to use. However, I would not recommend it for removing hair, as it causes intense itching and irritation.
