Maza Park - Entertainment Center in St. Petersburg

I took my kids to Maza Park in St. Petersburg and we had an absolute blast. This place is a total must-visit for families - trust me, you won't be disappointed. From the minute we walked in, we were hooked. There are so many activities and attractions to keep you entertained all day long, whether you're a kid or just a kid at heart.

My MazaPark Adventure: Hits and Misses

summarizeEditor's Summary

MazaPark is a massive entertainment center in St. Petersburg that offers a wide range of activities for all ages. While it's a must-visit for families with its late operating hours and diverse attractions, I was left with mixed feelings due to overcrowding, long queues, and overpriced food. The all-in-one ticket concept is a game-changer, but be prepared for extra fees for some attractions. With a little planning and patience, you can have a great time at MazaPark, but it's essential to weigh the pros and cons before visiting. The park's value for money is a major concern, and the experience is marred by the chaos and noise. However, the kids' zone and masterclasses for kids are definite highlights. Overall, MazaPark is a great destination for families, but it's crucial to be aware of the potential drawbacks.

MazaPark: A Massive Entertainment Center
I recently visited MazaPark and was blown away by its sheer size. This place is a must-visit for families, with its late operating hours - it's open till 6 am!
Located in St. Petersburg, MazaPark is situated in the Continental Trade Center building on Bukharestskaya Street. Getting there's a breeze, as the metro station is right inside the mall.
MazaPark's Entertainment Concept
The all-in-one ticket concept lets you visit all the attractions and game zones without any limits - you can go back and forth as many times as you want. The only restriction is the operating hours of the park itself.
However, many of the attractions come with an extra cost.
******************************************************************************************
Ticket Prices
The weekend ticket costs 2800 rubles per person, with no time limits.
Weekdays are cheaper, and there are discounts and promotions available on their website. For instance, they offer discounts for birthdays, large families, and more.
My son wanted to celebrate his birthday with friends at MazaPark, so I took my 4-year-old daughter along as a chaperone. There were six of us in total. For the birthday boy and his five friends, there's a 30% discount five days before and after the birthday. Kids under 7 get in for free.

Our group's total entry cost came out to be 9,800 rubles.
I had already signed up for the loyalty card, which gives a 500-ruble discount. I used it to buy food inside the park.
With the card, you can only get the discounts and bonuses that are advertised, for example:
*******************************************************************************************
Kassa, gardeub, vchod
Things start getting complicated at the ticket counter. There are just so many people on weekends! You'll often find yourself stuck in a huge crowd. To buy a ticket, you'll have to wait in line at the counter. Sometimes the line is manageable, but other times it's enormous.
I was surprised to find out at the checkout that we needed to fill out a questionnaire for the birthday boy and that we could only enter the park within 15 minutes of buying the ticket. We had to wait for another guest to arrive, so we ended up waiting in line again.
The cloakroom was also super crowded and chaotic.
The entrance to the park is through turnstiles.
And then we entered a dark space called MazaPark.
*********************************************************************************************
Entertainment
The park is spread across two enormous floors. On weekends, especially in the afternoon, it's packed with people.
So, there's:
A few billiards zones
Darts
Karaoke booths
QZar
You'll need to stand in a huge line for that one
Go-kart track
There are tons of different arcade machines
Bowling
A huge roller where you can ride not only on roller skates, but also on scooters
Tables for ping-pong
A bunch of cafes and restaurants

I was really impressed with the number of photo zones - it was like having my own personal photographer. Not only could I take my own photos, but I could also wait for the scheduled photo sessions and get a free magnet with my picture on it.
They also offer masterclasses for kids of different ages on the second floor.
And there's a massive kids' zone for younger kids with trampolines, labyrinths, slides, and all sorts of other fun activities.
As I made my way through the venue, I stumbled upon what they call the 'Quiet Spot', where it's indeed quiet and peaceful. There's a little table, photo zones, and a bar. Unlike the other areas, this one's got natural light, it's calm, and it's quiet.
**********************************************************************************************
How much did we spend?
Entrance - 9800 for 5 people with a 30% discount, plus one kid gets in for free.
Food - 3500 + 2000 (two rounds with the guys)
+ 950 - my daughter and I
+ 590 - a milkshake
Entertainment: 400 rubles - an extra entertainment where you spin a ball and try to hit the numbers, my daughter asked for it, and they gave her a prize - a small soft toy
Total: 14,850
************************************************************************************************
Disadvantages that made me not want to come back
- way too many people on weekends. Because of that, there's a queue for almost every attraction
- many attractions require an extra fee
- food is overpriced and not that great
- it's way too loud, chaotic, and crowded - my head still hurts a day after
- there's a shortage of helmets for the rollercoaster, so we couldn't use it
- it's stuffy
***********************************************************************************************
My Mixed Experience at MazaPark
MazaPark left me with mixed feelings. The kids loved it, but I'm not going back anytime soon. I wasn't impressed with the value for money, and the experience was marred by overcrowding, long queues, and overpriced food. Maybe it's better and more peaceful during the weekdays.
