TEXTURE:
The fragrance is pretty subtle, and the texture is thick and very sticky. Maybe that's why it's not the most popular shade - the dark purple color is a bit off-putting.
APPLICATION:
I've been applying it with the applicator, but it's a real challenge. The shine doesn't settle well, and it 'freezes' when you're trying to apply it. I think it's because the texture is just too thick and sticky.
EXPECTATIONS VS REALITY:
I mentioned earlier that there are some issues with application.
Despite that, it does give a nice shine, but I have to say, I'm not a fan of the color itself.
I didn't have a choice of shades, so I'm stuck with this one. It looks like I have a big bruise on my lips.
And to make matters worse, every time I close my mouth, my lips stick together and when I try to speak, it's like a 'smacking' sound with the lip balm oozing out. That's not exactly what I'm looking for in a lip gloss.
On the plus side, it does leave a nice imprint everywhere.
Overall, I have to say, we didn't get along.

When I unwrapped the box and saw the amazing, high-quality contents of the Golden Apple, I felt like a little kid who'd found a mountain of presents under the tree. I guess that's the main reason we buy boxes in the first place - to create a little excitement and joy in our lives.
So, when I got the dark purple gloss, I didn't get too worked up about it. Amidst all the variety and excitement, I barely even noticed it, and let's be real, some of the products are worth the cost of the whole box.
That being said, it's nice to have the chance to try out new cosmetics and figure out if it's worth buying separately.
That particular shade and this product? Not my fave.
