My Go-To Laundry Detergent for Everyday Cleaning

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm a convert to gel laundry detergents, and Lavilisa's Universal Concentrate Laundry Gel has won me over. The 4-liter bottle is a great value for money, considering the quality and performance. While I'm not a fan of the dosing system, the design of the container has its clever moments. I've tried loads of laundry detergents, but this one genuinely impresses me with its solid build quality and long-lasting battery life - I mean, the battery life of the dispenser, which is a nice touch. The gel itself is highly concentrated, so a little goes a long way. I've never looked back since switching to Lavilisa's gel.

My Go-To Laundry Detergent for Everyday Cleaning
I'm a dry powder fan turned gel convert, and I've never looked back. I've tried loads of laundry detergents over the years, but this one has genuinely impressed me.
I picked up the Lavilisa Universal Concentrate Laundry Gel at Svetofor, my go-to store for household essentials. They've got an awesome selection and prices that won't break the bank.
The 4-liter bottle costs around 350 rubles, which I think is a great value for money. Considering the quality and performance, I believe it's a fair price.
I'm not a fan of the dosing system, though. The small lid on top is meant for transportation, but it's not very useful for measuring the right amount. When you close it, the sides of the cap wrap around the bottle, causing any remaining detergent to spill out onto the packaging instead of inside the bottle.
However, the design of this detergent container is clever in other ways. The top lid is supposed to be a measuring cap, but it's not very practical for that purpose. I've found that I need to use a separate measuring cup to get the right amount.
The gel itself is transparent, with no added dyes, and has a medium consistency - not too thick like some high-end gels, but not water-like either. The scent is pleasant, fresh, and reminds me of a sea breeze. During the wash cycle, you can smell it, but after it's dried, your clothes won't have any lingering scent unless you add fabric softener.
I usually use cheap gels for my husband's work clothes and gardening clothes, but if I see that a detergent is decent, I'll use it for everything. We don't have any stubborn stains or kids' clothes with tough stains, so I just wash my everyday clothes, bedding, towels, and the like. I do have some delicate items, but I use a different, more expensive gel for those.
Before my first use, I read the instructions and measured out the recommended amount using a measuring cup from another detergent. I memorized the amount and since then, I've just eyeballed it, thinking that 5 ml wouldn't be a problem.
I've got a 6 kg washing machine, and I try not to overload it. If I do need to wash a lot, I'll use a bit more detergent. For smaller loads, I'll use less. In general, the detergent works well with medium loads, and the suds don't overflow the drum.
One thing I've noticed is that when I wash my husband's lightweight jacket with this detergent, it creates a lot of foam in the washing machine, especially around the glass, and I have to do an extra rinse.
I always wash my winter coat with this detergent - the material isn't delicate, but it's got dark elements and the door area always gets clogged with stains.
On dark-colored clothes, there are no streaks, and the detergent rinses out completely without damaging the fabric. I've also noticed no fading or discoloration on my black clothes.
On the collar, the stain came out without a trace - I rarely wear scarves, and the skin on my neck tends to get oily, so the light-colored collar gets dirty quickly.
Unfortunately, this detergent doesn't work on old stains - I've got an old favorite t-shirt that's dirty, torn, but still loved. It's got greasy stains and sweat marks under the arms that even boiling water can't get rid of.
I've been using the Lavilisa Universal Laundry Gel for a while now, and I'm really happy with it. It's not perfect, but it's definitely a solid choice. Don't expect it to tackle tough, old stains, but then again, many high-end laundry gels can't do that either. For everyday washing and removing minor stains, it's perfect.
Plus, the large volume is a bonus. The scent doesn't linger after washing, which is fine by me since I always use fabric softener. It doesn't leave any residue on dark clothes, and I've noticed no fading or discoloration on my black clothes.
It's not a miracle worker when it comes to fabric care, but it does the job without causing any issues. As for the price, I think it's a great value for money. The 4-liter bottle lasts us a long time, considering we only do laundry every week or two for two people.
I'm very satisfied with the Lavilisa Universal Concentrate Laundry Gel. It's a reliable and effective detergent that gets the job done without any fuss. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good laundry detergent.
Overall, I'm impressed with the performance of this detergent. It's easy to use, gentle on clothes, and effective at removing minor stains. The large volume is a bonus, and the price is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable laundry detergent.
One thing to note is that this detergent may not be suitable for people with sensitive skin, as it contains some fragrances and dyes. However, for most people, it should be fine.
As a side note, I've noticed that the detergent seems to work better in cold water than in hot water. I'm not sure if this is a general rule or just a coincidence, but it's worth noting.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend the Lavilisa Universal Concentrate Laundry Gel to anyone looking for a reliable and effective laundry detergent.
