'I Love You to the Moon and Back' is a heartwarming tale about the boundless love between a mother and child.
This story follows little Misha, who's having a tough time: he breaks his mom's favorite flower, gets messy, and loses his beloved stuffed animal. What if his mom stops loving him?! And to make matters worse, our little Misha the bear is soon going to start preschool, and the thought of being away from his mom and his usual routine, as well as his favorite toys, is scary. His mom will teach him how to carry his love through the long day of being apart, because she'll always be there for him.
Why read picture books? First and foremost, kids are drawn to the illustrations.
At a young age, children process information visually. That's why picture books for little ones with illustrations are the perfect format for spending quality time with your child.
Design/Visual Appearance:
I opted for the hardcover version of the book after a lot of deliberation. I thought that a softcover might lose its original look or even tear apart with my three-year-old daughter's use, so I chose the hardcover instead.
The book is quite large. To give you an idea, it's roughly the size of my palm.
'I Love You to the Moon and Back' by Jane Chapman On the front cover, aside from the title and author, you'll find a charming illustration of two bears: a mother and her cub.
'I Love You to the Moon and Back' by Jane Chapman On the back cover, there's a brief but heartwarming annotation and an image of a playing bear cub, which adds a unique atmosphere and emotional touch.
'I Love You to the Moon and Back' by Jane Chapman Inside, the book has 32 pages: it's not a thick book. I remember thinking that the pages would be glossy when I purchased the book, but when I picked it up at the pickup point, they turned out to be regular, but adequately thick pages.
'I Love You to the Moon and Back' by Jane Chapman The book stands out with its charming illustrations.
'I Love You to the Moon and Back' by Jane Chapman The illustrations are bright and eye-catching, making it easy to tell who's who. It's a pleasure to look at them. Sometimes they take up a whole spread,

'I Love You to the Moon and Back' by Jane Chapman 'I Love You to the Moon and Back' by Jane Chapman The colors are rich, but they don't feel overwhelming. They really grab a kid's attention. There's not a lot of text on the pages, but it's written in a big font. Some parts are highlighted in bold or a different color. And then there are the key phrases - they're bigger than the rest, so you know to focus on them when you're reading.
'I Love You to the Moon and Back' by Jane Chapman The foreword and afterword are done in the same style: they feature a little house in the woods.
'I Love You to the Moon and Back' by Jane Chapman 'I Love You to the Moon and Back' by Jane Chapman I came across some reviews mentioning a special window for signing the book in some editions, but ours doesn't have that feature. What really stood out to me:
This story gets me right in the feels. There's something warm and tender about it. A little bear cub grows up, explores the world, and learns to deal with emotions. Mom is always there, offering guidance, explanations, support, and showing what love looks like.
'I Love You to the Moon and Back' by Jane Chapman As soon as I brought the book home, my daughter immediately noticed it. She was captivated by the design. The book is visually appealing and inviting to hold. The illustrations are vibrant, gentle, and accurately convey the emotions of the characters. The story in the book teaches kids what love is all about. Despite mistakes and setbacks, parents continue to love, accept, and cherish their child.
'I Love You with All My Heart' by Jane Chapman What really got me was the moment when a mom explains to her kid what love is and where it lives. She says love lives in the heart. If the little one's feeling down or away from mom, all they need to do is touch their heart and feel the love beating inside.
'I Love You with All My Heart' by Jane Chapman Even though the book's not that new, my daughter's taken a real shine to it. She often brings it to me to read, and sometimes she'll just grab it and study the illustrations on her own. Not a single page has gotten damaged during all that use.So, here are the key highlights of this book:
Beautiful, illustrated edition;Heartwarming and educational story;Low cost;Sturdy cover;Colorful and kind.I don't see any drawbacks to this book.
The Verdict:
This book is truly amazing. It's not just for kids – parents can learn valuable lessons from it too. Kids can understand that even when things don't go as planned, it's essential to keep trying. Parents will see how crucial it is to stay calm when dealing with kids' antics, to keep loving and valuing them, patiently explaining things while maintaining their composure. I highly recommend it!
