I picked up this air refresher as a counterpoint to Synergetic, since they're competitors.

Flaws are one thing, but I've always been lucky with them, but a spray for home isn't something I'd buy again and again just to get a decent nozzle. And this spray isn't worth it.

I wouldn't have been so frustrated if I could have just popped the nozzle back in, but it wouldn't budge, no matter how hard I tried. It's not very user-friendly, so I had to say goodbye.

Aroma and effectiveness:

I was given the option to try Spring, a fruit-based fragrance, and, as you can tell from the picture, peach is the dominant note.

Essentially, it's a cheap peach fragrance. Imagine the cheapest peach air freshener, with its tartness and sharpness - that's what this is. The scent also reminded me of a powdered drink mix, like Invt. When diluted, it was sometimes okay, but if it didn't dissolve properly, it had a terrible taste, like something I couldn't quite place.

In a room, it works well, the scent disperses, becomes less concentrated, and you're left with something neutral that's slightly peachy.

It doesn't clash with food smells, cigarette smoke, or cat smells, which was the most important thing for me.

The spray's effectiveness is good, but it's not a true neutralizer. What it does is mask the smell you don't like, but after a short time, the scents can come back.

I'll compare it to Synergetic again - their spray has true neutralization, and if the smell isn't constant, it's gone for good. If it does come back, it's not for a while.

For example, when the neighbors' cat smells waft in, I just spray it and it's gone. Luckily, the neighbors also notice when it's unbearable and take care of it. After using Synergetic, the smell doesn't come back until the next time it happens. With Grass, the smell might linger a bit.

It's the same with cigarette smoke - Grass masks it for a while, but the smell can come back.

I don't have major complaints about its effectiveness - it's a standard cheap spray with a chemical, household-like scent, and it would've been fine if it weren't for the issues with the sprayer.

I've gotta say, this thing's not bad for the price. I went back to Synergetic because their build quality is better, they handle stinky smells way better, and the scents are more pleasant (although they're still pretty run-of-the-mill and chemical). Plus, the price is the same. Even without the whole spritzer falling off thing, I wouldn't have stuck with Grass. That being said, I'm still curious to try some other stuff from them - maybe they'll surprise me.
