I've been avoiding harsh chemicals for my beautiful white cast-iron bathtub and shiny chrome fixtures on the faucets for a long time now. Regular soap and Cif cream have been my go-to cleaning agents, with occasional use of Amway L.O.C. for a non-aggressive clean. Every five years, I'd apply Cillit Bang to the mineral buildup on the faucets.
Over time, the tile, grout, and fixtures lose their glossy finish and become more porous, making it easier for stains to form. And the rough surface of the areas I've damaged on my bathtub loses its whiteness almost instantly.
I have terrible water, it's hard and rusty. And to be honest, I'm getting tired of cleaning the bathtub from both the white and rusty stains at the same time. Now I really need some help from a chemical, but I chose an acid instead of a base, although it's not like it's a walk in the park.

The packaging left a bit to be desired - a flat, soft, and smooth plastic bottle with two stickers on the front and back, but no ridges for grip and no finger rest. The bottle has a pump dispenser with a mesh filter inserted into the neck.

The manufacturers have clearly gone for cost-cutting measures, sacrificing user experience in the process:
- The bottle sucks up the cleaning agent as you use it, requiring you to unscrew the spray nozzle and let air in every time.
- Despite the mesh filter, the cleaning agent doesn't spray evenly; instead, it just sprays out in a series of discrete foam droplets. Don't expect any savings or ease of use from this design.
Grass Gloss Cleaning Solution for Bathtubs and Sanitary Ware Grass Gloss Cleaning Solution for Bathtubs and Sanitary Ware Grass Gloss Cleaning Solution for Bathtubs and Sanitary Ware- The spray nozzle has a square rotating cap that blocks the liquid. It should have clear ON/OFF labels. Well, one is there, but it's barely legible!
Grass Gloss Cleaning Solution for Bathtubs and Sanitary Ware- Despite the tightly screwed-on cap, the trigger doesn't stay in place! It keeps spinning around its axis whenever you use it!
Grass Gloss Cleaning Solution for Bathtubs and Sanitary Ware- From the spray nozzle, liquid leaks out and drips onto your hand while using it. And with a wet hand, the trigger starts spinning even more, and the bottle's neck becomes slippery, making it harder to handle!
- But that's not all: the nozzle of the bottle is short and expands almost immediately, so wet fingers quickly slip down to the trigger... which spins...

I just can't get used to these plastic monstrosities that have invaded the market. These bottles that are more like plastic bags, the lack of ribs for strength, the pumps that pop out of the bottles ten centimeters when you open them... I've become like a hoarder, refusing to throw away good packaging from cosmetics and household chemicals. My intuition is strong. In the end, not much was left unused, and I often find myself and my loved ones needing it.
Take, for example, the recent time when I needed a bottle from years ago.
So, in the case of Grass Gloss, I'll need to replace the sprayer with a normal one, and I'm glad I have it. Maybe I'll even need to replace the entire bottle.

Grass Gloss Cleaner for Bathtub and Sanitary Ware Application
The 600ml volume of the cleaner is a decent amount, but I found that the dosed dispenser makes it consume faster than expected.
Instead of spraying the cleaner, it comes out in a pulpy form through the mesh, which requires me to apply it in patches and scrub it off with a sponge or brush.
The manufacturer recommends rinsing the cleaner off after one minute, and I found that to be accurate – it works fast, and if left on for too long, it starts to eat away at the surface.
Grass Gloss Cleaner for Bathtub and Sanitary Ware The soap scum and rust around the drain and faucet were effectively removed.
The area around my shower where I store my shampoos and gels is a real hotspot for mineral buildup. Water spots and soap scum can leave unsightly white streaks - it's a real pain to clean.
I had some tough stains in my life, but this one on the bottom of my tub was a real challenge. It was like a mysterious splatter that seemed to appear out of nowhere. I'm pretty sure it was from some harsh cleaner that had spilled over the edge, but I couldn't be sure. Regardless, it took some elbow grease and a good scrubbing with a brush to finally get it out.
The grout between my shower tiles started to discolor quickly. I applied a grout sealer, but before I could get the foam out and clean up the mess, the water from the shower just washed it all away. Where the sealer had been, the grout and tiles looked cleaner - the soap scum and grime had been lifted. However, there were noticeable streaks of the sealer on the tiles.
Grass Gloss Cleaning Solution for Bathtub and Sanitary Ware After using Grass Gloss, the chrome handles on my bathtub were shining like new, with no streaks or residue left behind. The cleaning solution did an amazing job of removing all the grime and mineral deposits that had built up over time.
I was a bit disappointed that the manufacturer didn't promise to remove all signs of mold and mildew from the caulk. Unfortunately, they didn't deliver on that promise, and the stains are still visible after using the product.
I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to remove grime without applying too much elbow grease. The cleaner breaks down and dissolves the grime in no time, leaving it easy to wipe away in just a couple of minutes. I found it really saved me time and effort.

THE RESULT
If you've got a spare showerhead collecting dust in your storage closet, I'd definitely recommend using a cleaner with acid for the job. It does a great job of cleaning and whitening surfaces. What's meant to be white really stands out, and what's meant to be glossy gets its mirror-like shine back.
