Price and where to buy: Ferplast is widely available in many pet stores. I've purchased this house twice – the first time five years ago for 650 rubles, and the second time recently for 980 rubles.

Hamsters often sleep on the roof, closer to the food.

It's great that the roof can be lifted up and you can see the sleeping (and not-so-happy) hamster.

You can even use the camera to peek inside - it's not just for food, you can store other things in there too, like...ahem...waste, and who's gonna stop you?!

If the hamster decides to leave their mark on the house, you can treat it with hydrogen peroxide to get rid of the smell and then coat it with a water-based lacquer for protection.
