Faberlic Oxygen Stain Remover

I've tried a bunch of stain removers, but this one from Faberlic really delivers. The EXTRA OXY formula is super effective at breaking down tough stains and odors, leaving your fabrics looking fresh and clean. It's a total game-changer for anyone who's tired of dealing with stubborn stains. I've used it on everything from food spills to pet accidents, and it's always gotten the job done - no fuss, no muss. The value for money is great, too.

My Disappointing Experience with Faberlic's Oxygen-Based Stain Remover

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm usually a fan of trying out new stain removers, especially when it comes to tackling tough stains from my tiny tornados at home. However, my experience with Faberlic's Extra Oxy oxygen-based stain remover was a letdown. I bought it from the Faberlic catalog for around 349-499 rubles, which is a bit pricey for what it offers. The bottle itself is a plain white plastic container with a nice blue label that helps distinguish it from the bleach from the same series. Unfortunately, my hopes were high, but the results were disappointing. It didn't perform well on tough stains, and the packaging is nothing special. I'm not a fan of the fact that you can't see what's inside the bottle, which makes it hard to gauge how much product you have left. Overall, I'd say it's not worth the price.

Hello everyone!
I'll be the first to admit it: removing stains is a top priority in my household, especially with two tiny tornados running around who seem to create a never-ending supply of tough stains.
I'd never tried Faberlic products before, but I'd heard great things, so when I got the chance to try them out, I stocked up on all sorts of household goodies, including laundry detergent.
So, the oxygen-based stain remover for whites and colors, Extra Oxy.

Where I bought it: Faberlic catalog
Price: 349-499 rubles
Volume: 500 grams
Manufacturer: Germany
Shelf life: 24 months

PACKAGING
The bottle is a plain white, opaque plastic container, and you can't see what's inside. The label is a nice blue color, which helps distinguish it from the bleach from the same series.
The packaging has a ton of information on it, so it's worth taking a closer look.
The bottle cap comes off easily, and inside, you'll find a measuring scoop and the stain remover powder. There's no childproof cap or anything like that.
xa0
CONSISTENCY, COLOR, SCENT
The stain remover is a mixture of white and blue granules in different sizes, but the blue ones have a distinctive texture.
The scent of this stain remover is pretty distinct – no pleasant fragrances here. It smells like boiled laundry.
xa0
USE
I tried using it to the best of my abilities: adding it to the wash at 40°C and 60°C, soaking it according to the instructions on the packaging, and soaking it without following the instructions – basically just eyeballing the amount of product I added.
xa0
This stain remover can also be used to clean kitchen surfaces and carpets, but at this price point, I think it's a bit excessive.
What's in it:
15-30%: oxygen-based bleach, sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, less than 5%: activator, benzolsulfonate derivatives, non-phosphorus-based auxiliaries, enzyme complex (protease, amylase, mannanase, lipase).
This stain remover isn't tested on animals.

RESULT
When I added it to the washing powder during the wash cycle, the stain remover did absolutely nothing – the stains were still there, even after washing at 60°C. I followed the instructions to the letter.
Saturating by the instructions
I used 4 liters of 60-degree water, added 2 measuring spoons of the stain remover, and got this murky water.
I kept mixing it until the stain remover dissolved. A soapy foam formed.
Then I placed the stained items in the solution, face down. After 3 hours, I decided to check on them. Some stains had lightened, while others remained unchanged. I gently rubbed the items with my hands, just like when hand-washing, and left them in the solution for another 9 hours. In the end, the items soaked for 12 hours. After that, I washed them at 40°C.
And here are the results. Left: before, right: after. You might not see the difference on all photos, but some stains had lightened, even if they're still there.
One thing that really stood out to me was how the soles of the socks and tights remained unchanged.
I have to say, I was really disappointed with the results! I felt like I wasted my money.
After getting such a poor result, I started adding a stain remover 'by the spoonful' while soaking, but I wasn't really holding out much hope. The results were usually pretty disappointing. The photos that follow were washed with Faberlic detergent.

THE VERDICT
Faberlic's stain remover didn't impress me. It's weak and doesn't work well. The value for money just isn't there.
I've tried a bunch of laundry detergents, but I'm sticking with what I know. If you're happy with this one, go for it. But I'm not impressed and wouldn't recommend it.
Thanks for reading.
I've also reviewed Faberlic's Premium Laundry Detergent Concentrate for Colored Clothes - check that out.

And if you're looking for a stain remover, I've got a review on Faberlic's Universal Stain Remover Spray.

I've also used their Universal Cleaning Detergent, Citrus Mix, and it's been a game-changer for washing delicate items.
