Sorti Citrus and Mint Dish Soap

Sorti Citrus and Mint Dish Soap

I've tried a bunch of dish soaps, but Sorti Citrus and Mint really stands out. It's ridiculously good at cutting through grease and food residue, leaving my dishes sparkling clean. Plus, the citrus scent is super refreshing and the formula is gentle on my hands - a great value for money, if you ask me. I've used it for a week now, and I'm impressed with the build quality and how long the bottle lasts.

Faberlic Dish Soap Disappointment, But Still a Decent Budget Option

summarizeEditor's Summary

I was stoked to try Faberlic's Liquid Dish Soap with Citrus and Mint, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. As a homemaker, I need a dish soap that's effective, gentle on my skin, has a pleasant scent, and offers good value for money. While it's not the worst dish soap I've ever used, it's not the best either. The packaging is eye-catching, but the plastic bottle feels a bit flimsy. I've noticed that the scent can be overpowering, and it leaves a residue on my dishes. However, it does get the job done, and it's definitely a budget-friendly option. If you're on a tight budget, Faberlic's dish soap might be worth considering, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you're looking for a high-quality dish soap. One thing that's worth mentioning is that the opaque white plastic bottle is surprisingly durable and hasn't broken yet, even after a few drops.

Faberlic Dish Soap Disappointment, But Still a Decent Budget Option
I recently picked up a bottle of Faberlic's Liquid Dish Soap with Citrus and Mint at a household goods store, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. I'd been searching for a budget-friendly dish soap that would effectively remove grease and grime without drying out my skin, and this one seemed like a good option.
As a homemaker, I have a few basic requirements when it comes to dish soap: it needs to be effective, gentle on my skin, have a pleasant scent, and offer good value for money. I've tried a few different brands in the past, but I'm always on the lookout for something new and improved.
The packaging for this dish soap is quite eye-catching, with a beautiful orange and green design that really stands out on store shelves. The opaque white plastic is surprisingly durable, and I've dropped the bottle a few times without any issues. However, I'm not a fan of plastic packaging that hides the contents – you have to shake the bottle to see how much product is left.
The front of the packaging is really appealing, with lovely pieces of orange peel and mint leaves that add a touch of elegance. They've also prominently displayed the fact that this product removes grease, which is a major selling point for me.
The back of the packaging has a label with some information, but the text is so tiny it's almost unreadable. I think it would be better to have a bit less text, but make it big enough for consumers to read. Instead, they've just wasted a bit of plastic.
One thing I was able to make out was the ingredient list, which includes anionic surfactants, non-ionic fragrance, pH regulator, spearmint extract, sodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate, preservative, and colorants. The rest of the information is a bit hard to read, but it's just the usual stuff – usage instructions, company address, and so on.
The cap on this dish soap is a major letdown – it's the Flip flop system cap, and it's supposed to be easy to open with one hand. But honestly, it's so poorly made that I have to exert a ton of force to open it every time. Forget about opening it with one hand – I have to basically pry it off just to pour in the gel. But I will give them credit, it's super secure and doesn't leak anywhere.
ORANGE YOU GLAD I DID THIS REVIEW?
I have to admit, I was sniffing the scent as soon as I opened it. For me, scent is a huge deal – if I don't like the smell, I'm not using the product. In this case, the scent is pretty strong – it's a bit of a chemical smell, but I do detect some citrus and mint notes. Not bad, not bad at all.
The gel itself is a medium consistency, pretty strong, and a weird green color. If they were going for the minty vibe, they missed the mark – this color is more like a toilet bowl cleaner. But the texture is actually pretty thick, which is good news for my wallet – the thicker it is, the more economical it is.
One thing I noticed is that this gel doesn't produce a lot of foam, which was a bit of a letdown. I mean, it's a budget product, and it's not going to replace a concentrated dish soap. But it does clean the dishes pretty well, the only downside being that it lacks that super-shiny finish that more expensive cleaning products have. But to be honest, that's only really noticeable on white plates – on colored dishes, it's not even an issue.
I'm happy to report that it doesn't dry out my hands too much, although I do recommend using a moisturizer or hand cream after washing dishes. If you don't, your skin won't suffer any long-term damage – it won't get all dry and cracked.
I've gotten used to diluting concentrated dish soaps with water in a 1:3 or even 1:5 ratio, so I tried doing the same with this gel. But it turns out it's just too weak to be effective when diluted. No, the best way to use it is to apply it directly to a sponge from the bottle – anything else and it just won't cut it.
Considering the price of 94 rubles, I'm pretty happy with the quality – especially when you compare it to other dish soap gels on the market. Of course, it's not perfect, but who expects perfection at this price point? For 94 rubles, you get what you pay for, and in this case, that's a decent product that does the job.
I'd recommend this dish soap as a solid budget option, but it's not going to become my go-to. There are better-smelling, more economical, and just plain nicer options out there, and I'll be sticking with them. That being said, for a no-frills soap, this one gets the job done. My main complaints are the harsh scent and weird, artificial color. But hey, it's not like I'd go out of my way to avoid it either.
Pros: Effective at removing grease and grime, gentle on skin, good value for money, decent quality for the price.Cons: Harsh scent, weird artificial color, poorly made cap, doesn't produce much foam, lacks shiny finish.
