What kind of stains can it handle:

How it affects the fabric, what it's used for, and how to apply it:

A Real-Life Challenge: My Kid's Enigmatic Stain
I'm not entirely sure what kind of stain I'm dealing with on my kid's jacket. At first glance, it looks like regular dirt that can be easily wiped off with a cloth. But don't be fooled - it's not that simple.
FABERLIC HOME's universal oxygen-based stain remover Extra Oxy (Экстра Окси). Photo by the reviewerBefore. The universal oxygen-based stain remover Extra Oxy (Экстра Окси) from FABERLIC HOMEI tried using the Anti-Stain Cream and letting it sit for a while, but it was a complete waste of time. Although this product has been a trusted ally of mine for ages, it's not a magic solution. It's fantastic at removing even the toughest stains like tree resin, but in this case, all my attempts were in vain.
Let's give the stain remover Extra Oxy from FABERLIC HOME a shot. We'll follow the instructions to the letter:
REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS: apply the stain remover to the stain, wait 3-10 minutes, then gently rub the stain. When washing, add 50ml of stain remover to your detergent
I used a clean cloth to apply the stain remover to my jacket, and it started to foam after some rubbing – that's a good sign to remember!
I have to admit, I was worried about the fabric – would it fade, pill, or fall apart? Modern fabrics can be so unpredictable.
After leaving the stain remover on the fabric for the recommended 10 minutes, I was underwhelmed – nothing seemed to have changed. To be honest, I was really hoping for better results.
My next move was to toss the jacket into the washing machine, add some extra oxygen bleach, and let it go for an hour and a half. That's exactly what I did.
The instructions on the packaging said:
'Machine washing: add 50 ml of stain remover to the washing machine detergent dispenser or directly to the wash load.'
Let me tell you, adding 50 ml of stain remover to the machine is a recipe for disaster – you'll end up with a washing machine covered in foam! I added half the recommended amount (25 ml) and still thought it was too much. Keep in mind, I was washing the jacket without any detergent.
Can you imagine how much foam would be produced if you added both detergent and 50 ml of stain remover to the washing machine?
Effects on Fabric and Skin
Fabric: nothing happened – it didn't fade, pill, or fall apart.
Skin: that's a different story. As I was applying the stain remover to the jacket, I started to feel a stinging sensation on my hands. At first, I thought it was just my imagination, but the discomfort got worse. I quickly rinsed my hands, but the damage was done – they were left feeling irritated and dry.

What it does to your skin. I used the Faberlic Home Extra Oxy Oxygen Whitening Pen and here's what happened.
It looks like my skin has died. I put on a glove and kept applying the pen, and when I took off the glove, my skin looked spotless with no stains at all. But the weird thing is, I still felt dryness in my fingertips - like my skin was dry and tight. And this was after a few days of using the product.
What I Learned:
You don't always have to follow the instructions to the letter. I mean, who needs to follow the instructions for making a cake or doing laundry? But sometimes you can get away with skipping a step and still get the same result - minus the hassle of chasing after stubborn foam.
The magic promised by the manufacturer doesn't always work.

Everything you read in the product description and on the packaging is just marketing. To sell a product, you need to convince the customer that they need it, that it's essential, and that they can't live without it.
You need to wear gloves when using whitening products, especially when working with chemicals. This is a must, even if you're just washing dishes or cleaning veggies. Otherwise, you might end up with dry, cracked skin or even eczema.
My Expectations | Requirements
When it comes to whitening pens, I expect them to:
be effectivebe safe to usebe a good value for moneyAs you can see, there aren't many requirements. But they're key.
Final Verdict
Among the pros of Faberlik's stain remover, I'd highlight:
Effectiveness - I'm not sure what kind of stains I was dealing with, but they definitely lightened up.
Affordable price (at 229 rubles)
Doesn't damage colored fabric or fade it
Stains weren't completely removed
450 rubles is too steep for household chemicals that don't live up to the hype
Harsh on skin
Foams up, so you need to use half the recommended amount in the washing machine, and forget about adding detergent
Final Thoughts
After using Faberlik's stain remover, I'm left with mixed feelings: on one hand, following the instructions, I did manage to reduce the size and intensity of the stains. On the other hand, I was disappointed that I couldn't completely remove them.
In short, I plan to update this review as I continue testing the stain remover on different stains and share my findings. When I have some news, I'll be sure to come back and share the details.
