Domashniy's Comeback: An Honest Review of 'All Means Good'

summarizeEditor's Summary

I recently binge-watched a few series on the new season of Domashniy and was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in quality. The acting cast has gotten significantly better, and many of the actors are now recognizable. The co-produced series between IVI and Domashniy are definitely of better quality, and Series 'All Means Good' is a great example of that. The storyline is engaging enough to keep you hooked, but it's your typical melodrama fare, which might get repetitive at times.

Domashniy's Comeback: An Honest Review of 'All Means Good'
I recently binge-watched a few series on the new season of Domashniy and was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in quality. The show's not going to win any awards for originality, but the acting cast has gotten significantly better, and many of the actors are now recognizable.
I was surprised to learn that the series isn't brand new - it actually dropped in 2024.
The co-produced series between IVI and Domashniy are definitely of better quality, and Series 'All Means Good' is a great example of that.
The storyline is your typical melodrama fare, with a woman, Darya (played by Anastasia Denisova), who's seemingly happy in her marriage, but things take a turn when her husband's mistress appears on the scene.
The main character, Darya, is portrayed as a happy homemaker, but her life takes a dramatic turn when her husband's mistress shows up.
Dasha is a total airhead, in the style of Domashniy, and her husband's all about business - nothing new there.
When the storyline hits on the plot with the mistress, Ivan (played by Nikita Muchkaev) appears in Daria's life. He's the ex of Eva (Anastasia Eliseeva), the one who's cheating on Dasha's husband (Vladimir Butenko).
And then, the sadness sets in... Daria and Ivan become partners, their plan being to win back their respective second halves.
As I mentioned earlier, the plot is simple and predictable. But the actors managed to pull the show up to a solid three. I particularly enjoyed the performances of Margarita Shersh (Daria's daughter) and Nikita Muchkaev.
The dialogue could use some work - it's your standard 'all's fair in love and war' kind of thing. There's room for improvement, but the actors are actually acting, not just reciting lines.
The director of the series is Dmitry Sorokin.
Here's the verdict:
The actors are actually acting, not just reciting lines. The main drawback is a super predictable plot.Overall, I'd give this series a solid 3 out of 5 stars. It's not going to win any awards for originality, but the acting cast has gotten significantly better, and many of the actors are now recognizable.
Thanks for checking it out!
