Liquid Moisturizing Body Wash D'elivea Care

Liquid Moisturizing Body Wash D'elivea Care

I've tried a bunch of body washes, but D'elivea's liquid moisturizing care really stands out. Its unique formula is gentle enough for daily use and actually hydrates your skin, leaving it feeling soft and supple. I've even used it on my kids, and it works great for all skin types - even super sensitive skin.

A Soap that Promises the World, but Falls Short

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm not a fan of soap claims that promise the world but deliver nothing. The D'elivea Moisturizing and Nourishing Liquid Soap is a great-looking product with a transparent bottle and built-in dispenser, but it falls short of its promises. As a cleanser, it's just okay – it doesn't dry out my skin, but it doesn't moisturize or nourish it either. The scent is pleasant, but that's about it. I was expecting more from this product, especially considering its price. I've been using it for a while now, and I've got to say, it's not worth the hype or the price. If you're looking for a soap that's gentle on your skin and doesn't dry it out, you might want to give it a try, but don't expect it to do anything special.

A Soap that Promises the World, but Falls Short
Hello everyone!
Let me tell you, I'm so tired of these over-the-top promises from soap and gel manufacturers.
They claim it'll clean, moisturize, nourish, and make your skin feel silky smooth and look amazing, but let's be real, if it just cleans without causing any harm, that's already a win.
So, I don't pay much attention to these claims about moisturizing and nourishing.
It's all just marketing, and most budget-friendly options, as well as others, just don't stay on your skin long enough to make a difference.
The bare minimum is to not cause any harm, but even that's often too much to ask.
That's why I got the D'elivea Moisturizing and nourishing liquid soap from Chijik without setting my expectations too high.
I just wanted a gentle cleanser that wouldn't dry out my skin, and that would've been enough to get a 5-star review from me.
The soap comes in a transparent bottle with a built-in dispenser, and it's wrapped in a white sticker with product information on both sides.
First impressions are everything, and this product delivers.
On the front, you've got the brand name, product name, and some pretty lofty promises about hydration and skin care.
Plus, there's a little picture to break things up.
The design is simple, but it works.
The 750ml size is a nice touch, especially if this stuff actually works.
The back of the packaging has even more details, because why not?
More promises about skin care, plus some fancy-sounding silk proteins that are supposed to moisturize and nourish.
Sounds good to me!
Inside the bottle, the liquid soap is a nice, pale color and has a pretty thin consistency.
I was impressed with how easily the soap dispenses from the pump, no issues at all.
The scent is a light, pleasant, and unobtrusive cosmetic aroma, no complaints there.
Now I'll share my thoughts on using this soap, and why it didn't quite win me over.
First, the positives: the soap lathers well, no complaints there, the lather isn't super rich, but it's sufficient, plus the scent is actually quite pleasant, and I have no issues with its cleansing abilities.
The price for the amount you get is good, and it's always available in the Chizhik chain stores, which are multiplying.
The usage rate is average, it's not too runny, so it doesn't run out too quickly.
Given the competition, this soap could be a good value if it didn't have one major drawback.
What I've found is that this soap dries out your skin - not just a little bit, but really dries it out.
I mean, I'm not against using a bar of soap to wash your hands or something, but to use it on your entire body? No way.
It's just not gentle enough.
If you save money by buying this soap, you'll end up spending more on moisturizers to fix the damage, and honestly, it's just not worth it.
I'd rather spend a bit more on a soap that's actually good for my skin.
For a better idea of what I'm talking about, here's a picture of my hand after using this soap for a bit.
And here's a picture of the new soap's consistency - I poured a bit on my hand and was surprised by how quickly it dried out my skin.
Notice how tight my skin looks?
That's not normal for me, even when I'm not using any moisturizer.
And this is after just a few days of using this soap, even though I'm taking good care of my skin and protecting it from the cold and wind.
I'm really not impressed with this product.
It's pretty obvious that I shouldn't have made things worse by continuing to use this soap, so I stopped using it and started moisturizing my skin with creams, applying them several times a day, which helped me get back to normal.
I'm not entirely sure why this happened, but I think it might have something to do with the pH level and the ingredients.
The pH level is probably quite alkaline, which isn't great for the skin, and on top of that, the surfactants aren't the softest, which is probably why I ended up with this result.
That's just my guess, though - I'm no chemist, and I don't actually know the pH level of this soap.
It's just something that came to mind based on my knowledge of skin care and household chemicals.
I've read some great reviews about this liquid soap, but for me, it's just not cutting it.
Maybe someone with a different skin type will find it works for them, or maybe they just didn't use it long enough to see the issues.
But personally, I wouldn't recommend it - it dries my skin out too much.
If you have dry or sensitive skin, I'd say steer clear of it.
The drying effect might not be immediate, but it's definitely there.
Despite its harmless appearance and affordable price, I wouldn't recommend this product on its own - I'd suggest pairing it with something else.
Affordable
Good value for the price
Easy to find
Has a nice scent
Lathers well
Has a normal consistency
Average usage
It really dries out my skin, making it feel super tight within minutes
