My Cat's New Favorite Food: A Weight Management Winner

summarizeEditor's Summary

I recently switched my cat Brit to Brit Care Cat Sterilised Weight Control after noticing he'd put on a bit too much weight. I was drawn to this food's impressive ingredient list, which boasts 47% protein content, including dehydrated chicken, fresh fish, and whole grain barley. After a week or so, I'm happy to report that Brit's shedding has slowed down, and his energy levels seem more stable. I'm also loving the convenient packaging, which makes it easy to dispense the right amount. The price is reasonable, especially considering the high-quality ingredients. I've noticed a significant reduction in shedding since switching to this food, and Brit's energy levels seem more stable, which is a big plus for an older cat. Overall, I'm glad I made the switch – Brit seems to be thriving on this new food.

My Cat's New Favorite Food: A Weight Management Winner
I've been feeding my cat Brit food for a while now, but I started to notice the ingredient list wasn't exactly what I was looking for. There was too little meat content, so I switched to a different brand. Recently, my cat put on a bit too much weight, which isn't great for his age, so I started looking for a weight management food. That's when I stumbled upon Brit Care Cat Sterilised Weight Control.
I was looking for a food that would help my cat maintain a healthy weight, and I'm glad I found Brit Care Cat Sterilised Weight Control. The ingredient list is impressive, with 47% protein content, including 22.4% dehydrated chicken, 14.6% fresh fish, and 5% fresh white fish. There's also whole grain barley, beet pulp, yellow peas, brown rice, animal fat 6% (source of Omega-6 fatty acids), plant-based protein (including potato and pea protein), hydrolyzed animal protein 3.5%, a vitamin and mineral complex, brewer's yeast (source of mannanoligosaccharides), dried apple (source of soluble prebiotic fibers), dried carrots, flaxseed, choline chloride, taurine, DL-methionine, dandelion root (source of fructooligosaccharides), New Zealand mussels (source of chondroprotectors), dandelion extract: roots, leaves, and flowers (source of vitamins and minerals for immune system support and prevention of urinary tract diseases), sublimated cranberry berries (source of organic acids that prevent cardiovascular diseases), chondroitin, glucosamine, antioxidants (vitamin E, rosemary extract, natural tocopherols), L-carnitine, and yucca schidigera.
I'm really happy with the protein content – it's 47%, which is way above the 30-35% I was hoping for. And it's got all the right additives to prevent cardiovascular diseases. We've had issues with that before, and our older cat isn't exactly a spring chicken either.
The benefits listed on the side of the package are really reassuring. I want my cat to live a long, healthy life with a normal weight for many years to come.
I picked it up from the Zoobazar online store, where a 400g pack cost me around 15 Belarusian rubles. Not the cheapest option, but buying in bulk would be a lot more cost-effective.
The food comes in a matte packaging, which feels like paper. It's a nice design, almost too nice – I wouldn't want to throw the packaging away. That being said, the idea of printing foreign names in Cyrillic letters does make the packaging look a bit cheap, unfortunately. At least it's not Brit Care.
On the back, you'll find all the necessary product information.
I was really impressed with the ingredient list – it's super detailed and easy to read.
The protein content is 47% – that's a great starting point, with 22.4% dehydrated chicken, 14.6% fresh fish, 5% fresh white fish, and 5% dehydrated fish. When I opened the bag, I was surprised to find it was only a bit more than half full. It's not empty, but they don't fill it to the top either. The smell from the bag is really nice, not like those cheap cat foods. My furry friend got a bit anxious, sniffing out the contents, I guess he liked it too.
The kibble is super small, round, and uniform in shape. There's hardly any waste, which is a nice change. It smells great, even for me! The kibble is slightly oily, and I found myself wanting to wash my hands right after handling it.
My Bengal cat picked up on the aroma right away, and since he's a dry food only guy, he gets a bit agitated by any packaging noise. He immediately pounced on the treat and wolfed it down, letting out a happy little growl.
I'm not ready to talk about weight loss just yet, but what I can say is that this is a high-quality food. My cat isn't constantly begging for food, and he's not overeating. His coat is shiny, and I haven't noticed any allergic reactions or vomiting. I even think he's got a bit more energy now – our house is always filled with the sound of toys crashing at night! The bag lasts a bit longer than cheaper options, but I'm still planning to buy a bigger pack next time and not worry about it.
Brit Care Cat Sterilised Weight Control is an excellent affordable food with a great formula. It's perfect for any cat, doesn't cause allergies, and they love it. For us, it's the ideal choice in terms of value for money. I think we've found our go-to product. I highly recommend checking it out if you're a pet owner.
